I think it’s fair enough, far rather see him banned than beaten to get down to the start. Horses are pack animals, they don’t not follow the herd unless they REALLY don’t want to. Me and my OH were saying at chelt he’s the sort of horse, if you took out of training for a year, send it over solid ‘proper’ XC fences (not this XC racing lark) send him hunting, combined training, Sjing, so he doens’t get bored then if he does that ok send him racing (if he doesn’t- play hacking horse!), and see if he jumps and if he doesn’t then he’s got a massive jump and would make a cracking amateurs BE horse IMO.

Obviously they won’t try that now, but I hope he goes to a nice home where he will NEVER have to set foot on a racetrack and will get to put that ridiculously nice jump to good use.

if you’re going to get an animal to get rid of them, get a jack russel or similar instead of a cat. Much better in my experience.

Apart from that, make sure that there is nothing they can eat that’s left lying around, as it lures them in. If they are living in your house block off all holes (you’d be amazed what they can fit through) with wirewool – metal scourers / brillo pads from poundland will do! Remember to check places like holes round radiator pipes etc.

If you use poison, remember mice have cack eyesight and feel their way, so put it along skirting boards and things.

I’d say try poison and that for about 8 weeks tops, if that’s not gone Rentokil are probably your best best.

There are already 3 equestrian diciplines, then the penthlon has SJ no? (not that I’ve ever seen anyone who can actually ride, but there we go), and they seem to be more in the olympic spirit (without trying to sound like a douchecanoe), like horses that riders have had fora while, slowly produced themselves and got to that level. Not that are ridden by some poor sod on min wage 99% of the time then someone else just for the competition.

I don’t realllyyy think it would work? I can’t see where it would fit?

Long Run turned up for that so fat he wouldn’t have looked out of place in a show ring. He also clearly hasn’t been near a set of clippers this winter, and IMO and all, his coat looked pretty poor.

S W-C has done a fine job with him thus far and so may it continue.

Real issue is can we find someone who could at least ride one side of Cue Card, before the poor thing jacks it after losing confidence after being missed at every fence and having to help joe out at every single f’ing fence.

best bet is to ring round. I know someone who got a freebie of Andy Turnell a while ago, and I know Ruth Carr sells them cheapy a lot. David Pipe usually has a few going too, ditto Jonjo… yee best bet is to get ringing around. Once they have started rehabilitation they tend to start costing money haha.

erm… where the hell is NP fav?!

When i last checked (about 5 mins ago!)
    Mon Parrain fav at 4s
    Wishfull Thinking 7s
Noble Price around at 12s but mainly 10s….

I’d far rather take a horse that’s 14 days without a run that has course form over a horse who’s currently 190 days without a run… and longer odds.

Not at all, was at Sandown this weekend, and had a lovely day, not been since before the rule changes, only spoiled by the sad loss of Drinking Song in the last, which would have happened with or without a whip.

Missed Precious at the cinema and keep forgetting to get it on dvd. I think you’s be impressed with Tyrannosaur, Emmy. Couldn’t get into the Wind that Shakes the Barley..will try to give it another go. Going to a talk by Ken Loach in a couple of weeks; very much looking forward to it.

Precious is stunning! My housemates boyfriend finds it hilarious howmuch i cry at it though. "Em, stop that now you’ll get dehydrated" was said the last time i watched it! It’s stunning, but pretty emotionally grueling.
