Can’t believe what Iv’e just read….There are some heartless people out there but to do that? Surely not.
Just spotted your reply Wallace. You seem an angry person. I made a mistake and, yes should have posted thread in the lounge. I even pointed out I maybe wrong in the first place in what I thought was in a polite way. To write such an aggressive reply is beyond belief.
Heck, I didn’t mean to start such comments, Sorry. I started a question in the wrong place. I am new and understand that racing comments belong in that place. It was a question I wanted to ask that’s all. I opened a can of worms it seems. I know now where such questions belong. My class do not know of my passion for racing but I did teach a girl aged 7 last year who’s dad owned a 2 yr old that won at Goodwood. She knew so much about our sport it was amazing. She would bring in clips from the RP to show me. It was in her family and they are lovely people. Sorry for annoying some of you. I like this forum and would not have botherd starting this question if I knew it cause such anger in some places. On the other hand. some of you liked it, so there you go. I’m off to do all my marking
I couldn’t agree more with the previous post. I love it there. The centre of the chase course visit is a must. Even the lower grade chasers seem like they are going like sprinters, it’s great and I would love to hear what you thought good or otherwise!

Alex Quin . Celebrity Q and A. Anyone get that on? But seriously, there are a few good tv people. Some brilliant and not nearly as glam which makes the variety just great. Big mac can for eg irritate the ….. off me but there’s something I like. It’s finding the right comb ination that is the trick. So a good poll with a few missing………Keep em coming.

It is devastating to read much of what i have just read. These machines are the pits. People follow racing ( I know some do not) but to have a reasonable bet on the horses or dogs that you follow where there is at least an element of skill is different. I have had the odd bet beyond my means in the past and chased my losses and when it goes wrong it is gut wretching. I wish this chap all the best.. I truley do and he should read this forum.

People who buy fillet steak (tender? yes most flavoursome? no) are wasting their money. Ribeye (medium to medium rare of course) is in my view, the king of steak.
Can’t do raw fish. Oysters make my stomach turn.
Hard to admit but I’m partial to a Findus minced beef crispy pancake or two. I love good quality grub but my god I eat some c**p too
When I first caught the racing bug it was during a flat season many years (well 20) ago. I did not have much of a care for the jumps. Over the the years I have grown to have love the jumpers too. Year after year many of the horses I follow appear again and again. Hurdle to chase..NHF to champions etc. I love the sport to bits and the big flat meetings are fantastic with so many champions and stories. So to cut it short ( and maybe cos the more exiting jumps season is soonish upon us), I would vote…jumps. From a betting view I do not make a decent profit at the jumpers and make a small profit from the flat..so work that one out!
