September 8, 2007 at 14:21 #114026Just spotted your reply Wallace. You seem an angry person. I made a mistake and, yes should have posted thread in the lounge. I even pointed out I maybe wrong in the first place in what I thought was in a polite way. To write such an aggressive reply is beyond belief.
September 8, 2007 at 19:30 #114072A librarian by profession, I’m currently engaged full-time as a Client Care Consultant for a company that puts ICT management systems in public, academic and specialist libraries.
In addition to which, however, I also work freelance for a number of horse racing-oriented media outlets. Six or seven-day working weeks are the norm for me, but I’m not sure I’d have it any other way at present.

September 9, 2007 at 21:59 #114215After working for 30 years in IT, I bit off my employers hands when they offered me redundancy with early retirement – finally getting my freedom in July after a few months garden leave. When working I used to manage to get racing two or three times a month.
Since the beginning of this year I have been building a racing web site designed as an introduction for beginners and a guide to UK racecourses. I have also been doing a sports journalism course so I can, hoefully, do some freelance writing.
Now I am "free" I am going racing at least twice a week and some weeks I have been known to go every day – I even managed three meetings in two days during the summer.
