I read this forum quite regularly and there are so many different people on here with a wide range of opinions. Maybe this isn’t the right place to be asking this but I’ve always wondered…what does everyone on here do for a living? There must be an enormous range of professions writing in.I’m just interested tht’a all. So, I’ll start. Crizzy is a Primary School Teacher….(for my sins) What do you do?

September 7, 2007 at 00:50 #113832Hi Crizzy,
You won’t get many replies to this post as you don’t mention your own personal ratings or your own personal speed fiugres
.This site is not for general chat mate, it’s as if most of the people on here are robots, they get turned on by ratings or speed figures and that’s it
. Tell them your profession and they are not interested, but tell them how quick you got to the bus stop compared to the usual time you get to the bus stop and you’re in mate
Yes, they once again know I am only joing

As for my employment, unfortunately it doesn’t consist of compiling my own ratings or keeping my own speed figures – but it does involve hours and hours of analystic work for a major research company. I also do a lot of sports writing for Betfair and I tell the occassional joke. People will work out who I am sooner or later I am sure

you may have more luck with the general chat in the Lounge section (last on the list on the Forum Index page).

Crizzy, I wonder – do all primary school teachers refer to themselves in the third person?

Only joking of course

I really couldn’t give a fk who anyone "is"
Just judge each post on its merits. Yours was a rather daft one MikkyMouse.

I think that its a good question actually since it might highlight just what type of people a)follow racing and b) actually have the time to use the forum.
BTW, I am a scientist………obviously not a busy one.

Magic job. Short hours and they are a doddle to catch…
Money excellent. Dunno why people get the hump with it…
September 7, 2007 at 12:02 #113863TRF really is in decline..
I remember when this place was for discussion of horse racing. Now it becomes more like the the Betfair forum every week. An influx of new members intent on filling the place with hundreds of meaningless posts does little for the quality of debate this place was once known for.
September 7, 2007 at 12:05 #113864Plenty of room for the odd lighthearted post….whats the problem?
If anything the forum is more thoughtful than ever and is nicely setting itself apart from other forums. There have been some very interesting debates on here lately

Well if you dont like it go elsewhere you dont own the forum and if people dont wish to discuss a topic it will drop down the list quickly, lighten up would you rather it had about two comments a week, this forum is fast moving and shows that a lot of people are interested and Im sure Mccormack will tell you he wants people to leave posts and enjoy reading different subjects
September 7, 2007 at 12:32 #113868Steady on steve .. this thread should really be in the lounge, but it’s Friday and the suns shining ..

I’m sure crissy didn’t deliberately break the forum ettiquette, a new kid on the block and all that.
