Well put Doyley. I take those points, fair enough…..Perhaps my view was a bit aggressive and I suppose she was entitled to her 5 mins of fame. Still don’t want winners on screen during close of race! Cheers..

she didn’t have to have the camera stuck up her nose……..My point is that C4 do not stick to the actual racing and spend too much time looking at what the women are wearing at the big meetings and I do not want to watch anyone else excited or otherwise on the screen during the finish to a race. That’s all. :D

Hi Mickymo, What a detailed analysis of the placepot! I do it now and then but rarley do well. When I do win the dividend is always less than expected for my hard work…Frustrating. Will watch your progress in the future. By the way how do you have the time to give such detailed views? Do you work in the racing industry?

I think Vinnie Jones was Captain once.. Does my memory serve me correctly? I think it just a gimmicky thing. Don’t care who wins. Any other ideas for possible future captains? What about the posh one from the apprentice cos she looks like a horse? :D

All good courses for racing and prize money, without a doubt they are all worthy. Can’t disagree. But I simply like Fontwell! Have had some wonderful days out there in the winter. Something about it..I You can go on to the centre of the chase course being a figure of 8 and see the horses close up then return to the stands in little time.Any comments!? Some people say negatine comments..Don’t know why. Have I missed the point of this chat………

Totally agree with you. Spent more time looking back than forward. How long before jockeys have mikes on and can talk to each other so they do not have too look round!

 At some race meetings there will be group horses and low handicappers with human counterparts to go with them. That’s why the horses aren’t all allowed to run in the same race….

Yes, I agree. Yes Goodwood attracts the usual coach loads of city rich, hair gelled up, new money, I’m out to get bladdered and be loud and noticed idiots. Sadly, they are everywhere now. They bring along the eye candy girls who spend all their money on champagne but wouldn’t notice if they were served Hock from a soda stream….but given that, compared to some race meetings, Goodwood is as good as you will get. Royal Ascot is a joke. I’ve seen more punch ups and swearing(car parks are always good for that) there than I care to remember. Why is it they mostly turn up in a limo?(for those not on acoach) When was that classy?I like a drink, sometimes lots, sometimes too much but there is no excuse for the loud mouthed t*&^ts that are filling big meetings by the year. Angry? no. Saddened… a little…or even lots..Don’t have to go. I’m just glad that Goodwood a least seems to be stricter on dress code, even on ordinary days than most. Most people know how to behave and make for a wonderful day but I guess wherever you go……..
