Finding winners today seemed to be much tougher than yesterday and with many players going for broke with big priced selections, very few ended up in profit. For many, though, Peeping Fawn appeared to be a good thing and that certainly seemed to be how cormack15 saw it, and his £900 Nap bet on the Coolmore filly resulted in his fourth consecutive day of profit, the top of the daily table, and with overnight leaders bampi and grundy both drawing a blank our esteemed leader jumped to the top of the overall standings with a very impressive overall profit of £9,500.
It also goes to show that millimetres can dramatically change results. Had the Goodwood judge not been as blind as a bat and instead called Borderlescott as the rightful winner of the Stewards’ Cup, then your competition organiser (who placed a desperate £700 Nap bet on the beast) would have run out a hugely undeserving winner.
Many congratulations to Cormack for a tremendously consistent week of tipping, made even better as he started the week on -£1000 having started a day late. I will be in touch shortly with regards to your prize. Well done also to bampi, grundy, davidbrady, Himself, Grimes, Pat123, Johnty and Swallow Cottage who all ended a fiendishly difficult week in profit, and thanks to everyone else who took part. I hope it made your Goodwood week a little more exciting. I’m off for a lie down.

Coollllllllll it’s your shout
August 5, 2007 at 14:26 #110593Congratulations to our leader on his success who could now do the members of the forum a great favour by regularly placing his selections in the Daily Lays and Plays section
August 5, 2007 at 16:53 #110609SC – I think my ‘flash in the pan’ win would lull those wishing to follow my daily selections into an expensive sense of false security!
Many thanks to HJ for running the competition. Thoroughly enjoyed it. And the Ferrari will look great in the drive when it arrives.
August 5, 2007 at 20:18 #110623Congratulations, Cormack. Also the other podium finishers. Mighty performances.
August 5, 2007 at 21:12 #110632Thanks all, it was fun.
Please note that everyone that finished in profit WILL NOT be receiving a cheque in the post for the sum in question, although if those that finished at a loss wish to reimburse me that is entirely up to them.
