Connections of Paco Boy would have taken on Frankel and got beat and had a good day out mixing with the best…They never gave up taking on Goldikova despite never getting the better of her. Not saying Golidikova as good as frankel at all but the Sussex is a joke tomorrow. How does anyone guage how good Frankel’s victory is tomorrow// Yawn for my money. Just my thoughts.
My first post for months…How strongly I feel!
My wife and kids are away for a few days just now and so I thought to myself..’I know, I’ll have a look to see if there is any racing on today and like the old days, I’ll actually go on my own and concentrate on the horses etc’
So, to my delight, I saw Sandown had and evening fixture, not brilliant racing but just perfect for me venue wise. I could catch the train and have a drink, watch the racing and go home. I never get the chance to do this sort of thing on my own these days.
Many years ago I was a member there and would go on my own purely out of love of racing.
So, I look on the net and see there is a concert on after racing, fair enough I thought. I could not see the prices on their site anywhere so I called. I was told £32 for Grandstand and £ 38 for Members (or there abouts) When I said that seemed more than usual I was told about the concert. I said I wasn’t interested in the concert just the racing. The lady I spoke to seemed genuinely embarrassed about the price due to the concert and the fact that I had said that was too steep for me and I simply wanted to go racing. She did however point out that it would be £18 tomorrow.
I am angry about this as all I wanted was to go to the sport I like best. Can’t they cater for those that just want to do racing? I get the concert bit but the race lover gets shafted and I won’t be!!!

HollandSo I went to the record shop and I said “What have you got by The Doors?” He said: “A bucket of sand and a fire blanket!”
It seems to me that Christmas has become that time of year that starts when the barbeques are taken off the supermarket shelves in September and finishes on December 27th when everything that was full price 3 days before is then half price so that there will be room on the shelves around 1st January for Easter Eggs.[/quote
Why do supermarkets do this? Supply and demand…If there was no demand, no need to supply. Who the hell buys Easter eggs so early etc? Clearly people do. Not bloody me!
Family of the Year…..What a band! Like St Croix out this week. Not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s catchy for me.

Paul, I read your post about not believing in fairytales when at school to my Year 7 RE class today and asked them to discuss….One said, " That’s like saying we may as well worship the gingerbread man and I am offended."
I will add Paul, I am not and it was bloody funny, you (or rather I) nearly started a riot!
Merry Christmas!

I do like Christmas and why we celebrate it etc but can’t stand the commercial aspect. It gets worse and starts earlier every year….I work in a primary school and therefore get very ‘Christmassy’ as we approach the last couple of weeks of term. I like eating too much, drinking too much and seeing my family too.
Don’t care for Boxing day……probably as my head hurts but there is The King George
Er…I’ll take that back Rob!

"Came from another parish to win"
No it didn’t….Makes me chuckle and was heavily over used by ? Can’t remember….

I’ll have a go if I remember!

He is a good bloke..Give me a name to do his job better. I don’t mean to be agressive, honest but just whack a name down

I like them. Have met Mr Cattermole and he is charming. I’m not surprised she is flirting and him too. I think C4 do a good job. Most people I know hate racing and find it boring…at least C4 make it a bit interesting.
Maybe he knows something…takes his price and let’s the nation know…fair enough.
No I don’t call finding a 50/1 winner a rich vein of form. It seems he’s picked a few good bets lately…..er that’s all really.
Hi all
Is it me or is Tom Segal in a rich vein of form? Today he tipped Tominator at 50/1 <!– s:shock: –>
<!– s:shock: –> Didn’t take a blind bit of notice myself <!– s:( –>
<!– s:( –>The race I am savouring the most. I go Goldikova at the moment…Can’t have a bet on this just wanna watch!
