July 30, 2007 at 16:53 in reply to: Glorious Goodwood Tipping Competition – Starts Tuesday 31st #109724Hi, Just wondered…If you can only have six bets and the maximum is £100 how do you spend your £1000? Have I missed something?
used to really like the morning line..gets on my nerves a bit now. I reckon many of the people on here could talk racing better than that lot on C4 apart from Cattermole and Down who are the only ones I think present well. How irritating is Thompson??!! Tanya whatshername is dull as dishwater..I tend to watch atr most….
yeah but O’Brien is a sly ol one….Don’t dislike him.. just don’t trust him!

I can’t bring myself to back anything trained by O’Brien anymore. He talks rubbish. Don’t trust anything he says…Yes he trains some brilliant horses and yes, Dylan Thomas was good today but there was no way Scorpion was there to win. Luckily I did not have a bet nor will I if he has more than one runner in a race.

expect jockey had a great view of others jockeys’ backsides..never mind…!
yeah, blinding value…has it finished yet?

absolute lunacy…..
Yeah but we don’t all get our picture splashed all over the front of the trade paper do we? If Pricewise is all it’s made out to be, then why don’t the RP show us what the level stakes results is? And at SP too!
I went to school with Tom in Weybridge. He is a very nice guy who knows a thing or two about horses.I always read his column in the RP. I think alot of people miss the point about what his column is all about. It’s about finding a value alternative to the favoured horses sometimes at long odds. You only have to look at the NAPS table at the back of the paper to realise that most of these so called tipsters have a terrible strike rate usually picking very short favs. I wish people would give Tom a break.
