TMWANG50, Who did you complain to? I would like to do the same thing, and I would hope a few others will too.

As for ATR text, it’s fine when it actually works, I used to find it would be on for a few days and then off for a few days, and it was a case of no matter what numbers you typed in, you were still looking at a blank screen.
I emailed Attheraces and was told it must be something to do with Sky tv.

Well as far as I’m concerned Haydock can join the list of dross that already includes Southwell, Lingfield, Wolverhampton, and Kempton.

Hello Mikky, I was just looking at your page and you seem to have posted half a placepot at the foot of the page.

    What’s that all about?

I’ve been doing placepots almost daily since the very first day the bet was introduced, and I reckon I know all there is to know about the bet.
The most important thing being that you are betting against other punters, not a bookmaker.
For a number of years the placepot was a fantastic bet, and a 16/1 winner in a 4 horse race could result in a massive placepot dividend, but people seem to have wised up and it’s a lot harder to get a big payout now.
I’m still interested in other people’s strategies though, which is why I started to read your blog.

I’ve got nothing worth insuring, and anyway I live in a three storey house in London, and at least 2 miles from the nearest river, so it would have to be some flood to damage any of my goods.
Even a burgler would have to bring a ladder with him, so I don’t go in for home contents insurance, it would just be another expense I don’t need.
As for the government bailing out the people who were flooded, I imagine they might give them some help with a few essential items, but I hardly think they’ll be replacing their playstations and stereo’s, that is even if people were dumb enough to allow them to get ruined in the first place.

I think Bernards last ever tv appearance is on channel 4 tonight, and I will certainly be watching.

By the way, Lolly’s mate, I was in Harrow yesterday, and then I had to drive down Kenton road to the Edgware road.
You ain’t kidding are you? it’s a right sh!thole.

It looks to me like admin has been hijacked.

Either that or Cormack has lost the plot.

Just like the original poster, I nearly died laughing the first time I saw Bernard Manning.
In my opinion he was the best stand up comic in this country by miles, and nobody who’s obsessed with all this political correctness cobblers, will ever convince me otherwise.

Those who think he wasn’t funny have either never seen him, or have had a sense of humour bypass.

R.I.P. Bernard, you were the greatest.

I’ve looked at Ted’s final furlong board and no matter what screen dimensions I apply that particular forum always fits onto my screen without any scroll bars

That’s because it’s class Jim   :D

No seriously, I’m glad I’m not on my own in thinking the print is a little small.

Well there’s always one isn’t there?

I don’t think it’s an improvement, the text seems smaller, and my eyes aren’t what they were.

I have to say I found the original remark extremely offensive.

Normally I would have voted for Willie Carson, but after watching Matt Chapman attempting to do his John McCririck impression for most this week, he gets my vote on this ocassion.

Mind you, I don’t find any of them particulary irritating.
