Jim Davidson?

I bet you would laugh if you saw him live!

I guess he goes against the grain, but his anti pc and race subjects can be funny.

And heh! Its all about comedy

Lollys i just can’t have him in any form be it on stage or having sadly met him, face to face.
He stayed at a hotel i once worked for a few years ago for near on a week and he is without a doubt the most pigheaded, nasty, ignorant, stupid, dense, thick, arrogant piece of sewer dredge i have ever come across. I think i am being too kind here in describing him!
The way he spoke to some of the staff there that were doing their level best for him was simply beyond belief. I just hope to God i never meet his like again in my lifetime.

Oh and for the record he is tiny, he wears high heeled shoes/boots underneath his ‘hide my height long legged trousers’.

A truly ignorant and horrible little midget.

No, no, no, no, NO NO NO NO NO and a million times NO, Lee. That hatchet job on a classic 80s track was the final insult in a putrid corpse of a recording career full of pallid ska-punk-rock-electro abominations, that was, and I have been frequently tortured by some and all cuts of the Stefani harridan’s Love Angel Music Baby ever since.

     Oh God yes!!!

Sorry Zoz but i so agree with Gray on that one. Classic Talk Talk stuff should NEVER be covered. In fact it should be made illegal to do so.

One recent cover which near made me want to weep was Ronan sodding Keating covering the Goo Goo Dolls "Iris" Pure Sacrilege!

Another reason given for the above is that a large majority (especially horses in training) can suffer from gastric ulcers, the horse then eases them by windsucking so as to cool them down and alleviate the pain. A girl i knew who had a windsucker gave her horse antacids after being told by a wise old old timer to try which helped it in a huge way. Strange but true!

    why was he put down?

     Hi Pogle.

Firstly, welcome to the forum:)

According to the reports he was put down due to the infirmities of old age. I guess the years were just catching up on the old boy.
A fantastic racehorse, who to my mind was the second best miler i have ever witnessed.

       Pure Class.

    Debs & Luke.

I have sat here for the past hour typing out my condolences but i just cannot get the words right, they just can’t express just how so very very sorry i am for you both pet.

He really was a great fella, he went out of his way for this place and in doing so enabled so many good friendships to be made and for that he can be thanked and remembered.

A hug to you both and condolences to the family.

    32 days until IG falls
This has been said before by myself and others already but would you all please just think before you post what some are IMHO insulting comments, the bloody horse’s owners come on here. Yes i know opinions are what this forum is about. But seriously peeps, after reading what some of you have put it must be frigging upsetting to them as you are to their minds publicly attacking their dad not to mention their horse.
I too have an strong opinion about the horse and his Gold Cup entry and yes i’d rather he didn’t run in it but at the end of the day it sadly doesn’t matter what we think, it is not our decision to make.

I swear i really fear what some people are going to put on this forum if he doesn’t get around :(
Please God that he does but if he is struggling then as Naps mentioned, hopefully he will be looked after by AP.

    Hi IG

It is really nice to see you posting on here and i send ya a warm welcome:)

Take no notice of the knockers of Ted as all it is down to is sheer bloody jealousy  ;)

You keep on defending your boy IG because i can sure as hell remember being your age and God help anyone who didn’t agree with me that Triptych wasn’t the greatest mare ever lived. Looking back with a wee bit more wisdom these days i can kinda see she possibly wasn’t. ;) Most members on here must surely have one special horse in their memories that they defended come what may and whatever anyone else ever said they still thought they were the dogs beaullocks. Ted is incredibly special to you and your family IG and i can understand your total defence of him be it he turns out to be a world beater or not he has given you and your family wonderful times and God willing they will long continue.

Jaaaaysus i’ve waffled on when all i was trying to say was folks give this lass a bit of a break yea? So what if you personally don’t think the horse is Gods gift to NH this girl is close to this horse, he’s family! So give that a bit of thought when you respond. Ta very much:)
Hi ive a question for irisgift1
Why was Tigers Lair pulled from teds race at MR?
I have it from a very good source that he would have beaten him is this true?

PS and stop asking the poor lass questions that she cannot answer, be it even if she knows.

Being brought up with a racing pigeon man for a dad i have learnt to dislike the wee buggers. I can still remember watching my dad walk out of his loft and seeing his face one morning after the tom cat from next door had broken in and killed all the birds in that section. Wiped out all his good stock birds and his loft has never recovered. He always used to keep his Jack Russell indoors when he saw the cat was in its garden but after that episode he never did, hence the said cat soon lost a tail.
The destruction they have done to us and to the wildlife around is beyond belief. Give me a dog anyyyyyyyyyyyyy day of the week.
The reason you don’t have to pick up your cats shi-te Mesh is the dirty wee gits do it in other folks gardens:angry:
Having only just seen this today i am absolutely shocked and saddened. Phunter/Pete was one of the good ones and i know i will miss seeing his posts on here in the future. Huge condolences to his family and what ever is decided as in sponsoring a race or donations to any cause, most definitely count me in.
God Bless you Pete.

I am going to cheat, sod three….. i’m having three of each, please forgive me

     Flat:

     Shergar.
I can remember getting a ‘stomach upset’ on Derby Day 1981 so i just had to stay home and watch him pee it. Class pure and simple.

Ardross.
All heart and guts with class thrown in. I just totally loved that horse.. simple as that. Sodding Akiyida.

Soba
Tough as old boots. Climbed the ladder the hard way but never shirked it. Sodding Habibti…….

    NH:

     Night Nurse.
The Greatest Hurdler IMHO. Enough said, he needs no explanation.

     Young Kenny.
A smashing old fashioned type of chaser trained in the north, big and bold. Blubbed my bloody eyes out that day at Haydock.

    Finally Benbyas.
Aint he just one of the best jumpers of a hurdle ya have ever seen? He is one of those horses which for whatever reason just grabs your attention when you first set eyes on him. Small and bonny and ive yet to see him not give his all in a race. May he long continue to make me sit on the edge of my chair when he runs!
