Alexei Sayle, now there’s a comic genius i’d forgotten about!

We’ve got Heroes over here! It’s on Hallmark I think. They all have special powers of one sort or another I think.

yep, that’s it…as usual, some have better ones than others, and the bad guy absorbs others power in a rather grusome way making him the uber baddie!! V. exciting!!

That’s it! There was also ‘don’t eat the raw pastry you’ll get worms’!

never heard that one…but i still don’t eat apple pips in case they take root in my tummy! Thinking about it, maybe i should do that, and then eat some raw pastry to get the worms to keep the tree roots happy!

but what if your local shut down because all the old men can’t smoke in there any more?! Also…day time pub goers now seem to be women with prams and screaming children…not the best company for watching the races…even worse than thise silly types who get dressed up for the big events…

heroes….cross between x-men and lost….sounds weird and far fetched at first but not over acted or dramatised for an american series and is actually rather addictive after the first few episodes…well worth a watch when it hits BBC soon….and there are 23 episodes in an american series…so if you like it there is plenty to watch!!! :P

i’m not the expert here, but if this in refence to mares then it is likely to mean that the horse has entered the stage in the year when she is most fertile and likely to get pregnant. These months are usually between May and August and sometimes this can affect the mare. She can become ill tempered, unsettled and sore. The ovaries tend to swell and so riding can become a hassle…

if you’ve read the book and loved it then don’t….they are good, but not that good, and after the first one the story starts to change, which is annoying if you liked the original one!!

steve that’s interesting…i’d not heard that before. I’d normally go for old brown but that seems to change things a little, especially as there were certainly people around who sacrificed their jobs as they didn’t believe in the cause. Still, can’t see me changing to a tory vote…

i don’t know, i quite liked the film but came out thinking that they hadn’t really explained much and that if you read the book you’d probably have a much better experience.

The worst film i’ve seen for a while, disappointingly so as as old Bob directed it, was the good shepherd. Nothing happened and what did was horribly depressing!! I understood it wasn’t a action thriller before I watched it but i’m at a loss now to see that anything actaully happened at all!!!!

you know the books are always better than the films…hope the films make it first, you can watch them, and then discover how crap they were when you read the book and see how the story should really have been told!! See lord of the rings if you don’t know what i’m talking about….

some amazing photos there, the clarity is perfect…jealous….i’m the type to take 1000 photos and there be one that makes the grade :x it’s not just a good camera that takes great photos, i just appear to be artistically challenged

I always think that old george appears to eyeball horses he runs against as well….thought it in a couple of races and again in the eclipse. He always seems to run with his head cantered over to look at the horse closest to him…i’d love to know what the looks are saying in horse language!

 surely a book about being taken hostage would be really interesting…

    ….day ten….sat in the dark….day 90…sat in the dark…..

still, good that he’s out and let’s hope that this shows that there is hope here too. Remember a little while back when no one ever thought there would be an end to the Northern Ireland problems…and look where we’ve come since then….
