I was just going to mention the right handed factor for CALL ME LORD. Id have PENTLAND HILLS for this race because of that reason.

I fancy the favourite SECRET INVESTOR, He needed the run at Down Royal and 14 lengths to REAL STEEL although at first glance doesn’t inspire much confidence, It is not bad. Looking at the John Durkan, Real Steel wasn’t far away and the field was quite tight throughout and at the finish. MIN for me looked very good and i also thought HARDLINE ran a stormer! Secret Investor would of came on for the run at Down Royal so for me based on that form id say this could be the one for him. Im just hoping the ground stays Good to Soft.

Other then that i quite liked the way NOT THAT FUISSE finished his race when he split GETAWAY TRUMP & AL DANCER. He looked to me like over fences this trip suits him best. Would have to run a huge race but being bottom of the weights helps.

ID have to see more of CHACUN POR SOI personally. Beating DEFI is great form but did he beat defi at full tilt? i dont think he did that was a long season last year and punchestown was probably a step too far

What im getting at is we can convince ourselves 100% we got the winner but ultimately nobody knows! unless the race is fixed and you got inside knowledge. so someone could convince themselves they have the winner in a 100/1 nag

most probably its a s**t bet but whos to say it cant happen whether you got the favourite or a longshot it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks about your choice

i bet because i enjoy losing money :yahoo:

Id have him to tuck them all apart from MIN and DEFI. Having said that, It depends what Min turns up and Defi may go to Champ chase so ill be getting stuck into that 20s

Im of the opinion that we all fancy ourselves as a little knowledgeable about this game, As in, You know what a good horse is and you know if ones got chances when you see them.
But at the same time we know F**kall until they finish the race! So to say you cant look past the favourite is a little short sighted. Yes he’s solid and i wont appose him but he might fall at the first hurdle and it turns into a mad race! So back what you fancy and well find out.
    we know f**kall.

I just had a £5 trixie on; CHAMPAGNE CLASSIC 10/1 (National hunt chase), FLORESSA 10/1 (Mares novice hurdle) & PAISLEY PARK 7/4 (Stayers hurdle)

Very happy with that. Probably my first normal bet for the festival, All the rest are silly little trebles a couple of quid here and there!

Such a shame because those last 2 fences would of told us more about chances and likely targets!

I quite fancy BALLYOPTIC for this! The Charlie Hall was a good performance and showed when he’s up for it he stays for days. I think the slog in that race maybe didn’t put him right for the Betfair Chase. Obviously he was never going to win that and im glad he didn’t exert himself.

You cant ignore that form before the betfair and he will be fresher for this. TOP VILE BEN & ELEGANT ESCAPE have gone on to run strong races now so ill be backing BALLYOPTIC at 11/1.

If i was looking at any others id probably say MULCAHYS HILL he really impressed me flying up the hill strongly to beat WHOLESTONE by a neck looked like a nag that wants further
