Hes a very good jumper, unlike discorama who clattered half of his fences
Happy with the 16s and hoping he actually makes it to the race this time as he will take a lot of beating
October 28, 2019 at 17:09 #147307016s, even this far out, is definitely rare Cheltenham antepost value. Denise being generous.
October 28, 2019 at 17:13 #1473071I liked the way CHAMPAGNE CLASSIC eased over the line suggesting alot more in the tank, Aswell as the race being ran on soft to heavy. That 16/1 is looking great value.
October 28, 2019 at 17:19 #1473073Not sure how he is the same price as sam spinner whose jumping was awful on chasing debut
October 28, 2019 at 17:52 #1473081Trying my hardest not to get involved in too many Cheltenham Bets, but has to take the 16’s myself.
November 9, 2019 at 20:07 #1474459Galvin gets an entry at Cheltenham on Friday.
Hoping for a nice sighter for him, though I’m hoping even more that he just runs better than last time.
November 25, 2019 at 04:55 #1475842Shame Dickie Diver is side lines.
I really fancy Early Doors, this will surely be his target now. He will be out after xmas after a break, and i expect will to qualify for this race and run over 3 miles.
Hes JPs best hope now i think. I keep nibbling at 33s and will go in again once he declared for a 3 mile race. The other horse i like is Carefully Selected, but i very much doubt Willie will send him here. Im confident he will be RSA bound.
I think Bramaha Bull will be mullins horse for this.
November 25, 2019 at 10:18 #1475850Champagne Classic 10-1
November 25, 2019 at 11:23 #1475853I thought I heard on a postcast somewhere that patrick mullins had been eyeing up carefully selected for this and had been trying to get willie to target him here
December 5, 2019 at 03:57 #1476566Have now backed two for this.
My main fancy is Early Doors at 33/1. Should be running early in the Newyear back after Xmas after a break. Strong possibility he JPs horse for this so will have a good jockey on board and loves the track. 33/1 is fair, though he jumped very well on his chasing debut.
The more i think about, the more i see faugheen turning up here.
I can’t see mullins putting him in a deep race such as the RSA at the age of 12. Rathvinden Won it at 10 and ran over 2.5 miles before stepping up and winning this. My guess is faugheen will run in the 2.5 grade 1 at limrick over xmas, then in order to qualify for the race will run at Naas over 3 miles at the end of January.
Faugheen stayed on quite well in the stayers last year and if he did turn up 40/1 is to big considering he 14s with PP. Can you just Imagen the scenes if he tuned up here.
TWO BACKED EWEARLY DOORS 33/1
FAUGHEEN 40/1 with sky bet
December 5, 2019 at 08:24 #1476570I added Early Doors and Faugheen yesterday too.
Ruby hinted quite strongly IMO that this was the plan for Faugheen and 40/1 is just too big for a horse with his profile and presumably PM up top if he gets there.
I don’t think Early Doors jumped that well on debut which is what made the performance and strong finish over 2m6f all the more impressive with a view to this. I think both him and Dallas Des Picton will struggle to make top graded class and end up being 150 ish chasers which is ideal for this
My positions so far:
Carefully Selected 25/1
Dallas Des Pictons @ 33/1
Faugheen @ 40/1
Early Doors @ 33/1
Glenloe @ 66/1December 5, 2019 at 12:34 #1476580Is this the kind of race front runners tend to win? Would he settle?
December 6, 2019 at 21:32 #1476691Ill be honest, GLENLOE is s**t.
December 6, 2019 at 22:28 #1476696Tad harsh Ray no?

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!December 8, 2019 at 22:00 #1476913Yes probably! i just see the name flying around alot i just dont understand, never wins a race! maybe he does need a trip thought
December 8, 2019 at 22:56 #1476918They are surely deliberately running him over trips too short with a big handicap in mind
The day he is upped in trip and the money is down I’d suggest he will hose up
December 13, 2019 at 00:33 #1477153Ruby walsh put up carefully selected as an ante post pick on road to Cheltenham for this
Read into that what you will
