I forgot my very worst Ante Post bet in years & apologies to any Brentford FC fans…

Backed the Bees for for Div 1 in mid Sept after not a bad start to the season in the belief their young team could play a bit.. from memory, think they were top 3 or 4 at the time.

Since then:

Played   17<br>Drawn    6<br>Lost  11<br>Goal Dif  -25!!

Bottom 3 now & managerless :( <br>

AP betting is my favourite pastime… I punt for fun, but semi-seriously so love nothing more than getting a big price on something for the Guineas (Teofilo) to dream about over the winter or to give me a run for my cash throughout a season. The result’s almost immaterial (easy to say as I’ve been lucky over the last few years) & am just happy as long as I get a bit of a run for my money. A "few" of my best & worst:

Best<br>Teofilo @ 25/1 to 8/1 for Derby<br>Teofilo @ 8/1 to 4/1 for Guineas<br>Kauto Star @ 7/1 EW for BHB OOM<br>Raymond Barneveld @ 12/1 to 6/1 EW for the World Darts Champs (Still a great bet at 5’s ew)

Worst<br>Richard Johnson for BHB OOM Top Jock @ 7/1<br>No Refuge @ 40/1 for BHB OOM<br>Nicanor (for far too much cash) @ 16/1 for the Arkle<br>Plus plenty more….<br>

Can’t beat a day at the races with a pocket full of readies. Collecting in cash is 100% more enjoyable than hitting the "withdraw" button.

Can’t say whether it was the Jock or not, but I reckon that was IG’s best round of jumping & just seemed to tire over the last 1/2 mile.

Dave, I’m not sure if he’ll duck out because of the opposition, but could well be as a result of  the weather (NR tomorrow as too soft) and agree he’s no value for the OOM.

I’ve added  No Refuge at a speculative 40/1 ew as my Hurdles hope.
