They’re tweaked them a bit.
Points now only go down to 6th instead of 8th & they’ve also introduced prize money for 2nd & 3rd overall instead of £50k for top hurdler & chaser.
i’m not sure if either will stop last year situation though…
Also need to add Kauto Star as am very much looking forwad to seeing him regularly because of my investment on him at @ 7/1 to win the BHB Order of Merit.
A few for me..
Nicanor to make his mark over fences (Arkle please ;) )
As already mentioned, Iktitaf in the top hurdle races & think he’s due out at Punchestown in the next couple of days.
And Black Jack Ketchum. I know he’s blindingly obvious but always start the seaon hoping for a superstar & he’s my one for this year.
Horrible to see. Was watching with the kids & my 6yr old was in tears. No way you can explain is there…

Sunderlands do…
They’ll also chuck in a free £25 bet for new clients
cos normally he spouts nonsence
Just wish for once I’d taken notice of Statto – "Rail Link looks the value on the PMU"
Seems evey bet I have with the Tote now is "need to get authorisation for that sir…"
Last Sunday they even did it on an £80 placepot going into the pool!!
This is one for somebody you do like…
"The Gambling Man" by Kevin Perkins
Published in Australia in the early 90’s it’s semi auto biographical account of Bill Waterhouse’s life – almost certainly the biggest bookmaker the world’s ever seen. I got it as a present one Xmas & read all 600 pages by Boxing Day!
Nearly almost all his punting/bookmaking was at the races in OZ though he did spend a summer over here.
I think it may be out of print now (something legal as it dishes the dirt on the Australian establishment??) but a great pressie if you can find a copy & persuade someone to buy it for you <br>
14’s added to the small amount already on at 25’s.
Only 8 months wait to collect
I’m not a breeding expert & read elswhere that Danehill is or was a Coolmore stallion. I think Godolophin are avoiding their stock at auction but would it be the same for a private deal??
Yep agreed – you won’t have many chances to own the winter AP favourite for the Derby.
Edit…..Blue Sq hang your heads… though 5’s from Sky is nothing to be proud of.
Teofilo was v impressive and if you’ve got decent prices for the 2000 or Derby then have something to dream about over the winter along with Mrs Bolger!
The current best of 14’s for the Derby may interest me but 4/1 for the Guineas is just taking the p1ss – Skybet hang your heads in shame.
I used to subscribe to Inside Edge until 2/3 months ago when they changed the content to 80% Poker….yawwwwn.
 @ Rory
I think Duncan Balantyne may have invested with his gambling interests, but wonder how much he would have paid….£65k for a 40% stake like the "Nuts" poker bloke last night? Now that would have been a cool investment
