October 1, 2006 at 15:30 #78462Just looking at the show now, it is an amazing difference.
October 1, 2006 at 15:42 #78463Just wish for once I’d taken notice of Statto – "Rail Link looks the value on the PMU"
October 1, 2006 at 15:45 #78464cos normally he spouts nonsence
October 1, 2006 at 15:53 #78465When I saw the PMU odds, I had to nip round to the bookies to back all the Fabre horses at the french odds.
Result!

October 1, 2006 at 16:10 #78467Nice one Stevo. I was sat on the couch and thought about doing the same thing but was too lazy to get off me bottom.
October 1, 2006 at 16:11 #78468Actually, I didn’t fancy Rail Link.
It was just that, with 2 totally different markets, the race was massively overbroke.
I had backed the Japanese horse this morning (realising the price was going to come in).
I had a couple of quid on Irish Wells at 190 a couple of days ago.
After backing the 3 Fabre horses at the inflated PMU odds, I had 5/8 running for me.
I didn’t think Sixties Icon or the other rag were contenders, so that just left Pride … and I was almost made to regret not backing her at the bookies too!
A punter’s dreamland!

October 1, 2006 at 16:37 #78470Damn talk about missing out!
October 1, 2006 at 17:06 #78471Same as Corm for me. I was just too damn lazy to get off my butt and dutch ‘the rest’ against the favs.
I’d have left SI and the rags out, and put the other three in against DI and HR, had I had the enthusiasm to get off the couch.
It’s only money … hmmm …
LOL
Sometimes it all just looks too obvious to be true. That’s why I couldn’t help posting this thread. I couldn’t believe the french book was real and would go off that lopsided toward the Japanese horse
When you get a Tote book that looks like that, it invariably levels off near the race. Today it didn’t.
