I’ll have a guess that it’s decent gound on the Thursday:
2pts win Oscar Whisky
Thanks
Couldn’t pick at odds on 6 weeks in advance, so has to be the proven class horse who can also jump….
2pt win Overturn 5/1 general
Grand Crus out to 25/1 for this!!! Madness.
Although still waiting to see whether they actually run him in this or the World Hurdle.
25/1 with Tote/Betfred who are NRNB for the Gold Cup.
Decent value I reckon as he travelled well for a long way at Kempton on bad ground & only a cpl of weeks after his wind operation. Still inconclusive whether he’ll stay the trip, but 25/1 NRNB is worth a chance.Sprinter a very worthy fav but not my kind of price so has to be:
Sanctuaire – 1pt e/w Paddy Power
Hi Printers. Cue Card has not been entered in the Gold Cup so will either be the Ryanair or Champion chase for him
Yeah well done Blunkett and thoroughly enjoyed it last year and was great to read everybody’s reasoning behind their selections
For the Gold Cup I’m going for:
Flemenstar @ 14/1
If he learns to settle I think he could get 3m 2f on better ground and at the price he’s worth a chance
ha ha, I would have kept quiet Pat as am sure none of us would have noticed!
You still have a tidy bet and a decent chance of him getting passed Richie George in the next round. Good luck
I’ve backed 2 in the other half of the draw:
Tony O’Shea – 16/1 looks too big for a player with his lakeside pedigree
Stephen Bunting – Has been hitting mid 90’s averages which should be good enough to get him to the semi and he’s also now got a winning habit. 6/1 is fair
Not bad, but not as good as this one…

Spirit Son out for another season

Thanks for sharing the link and it’s great to see him in his next career and to be able to follow how he gets on. Cheers
Silvestre De Sousa was 2nd last season and could well finish in the 3 this year if Johnston continues in current form
I backed Ryan Moore ante post, but think Richard Hughes is a real danger and is good value at 4/1. I’ll be backing him tomorrow
Time for the Jumps one now?

Here’s mine:
1. Sir M. Stoute – Shergar
2. Sir H. Cecil – Oh So Sharp
3. A. Fabre – Zafonic
4. S. Bin Suroor – Dubai Millennium
5. R. Hannon – Canford Cliffs
6. Dr. V. O’Brien – Nijinsky
7. J. Oxx – Sea The Stars
8. B. Hills – Rheingold
9. John Gosden – Oasis Dream
10. R. Charlton – Bated Breath I guess
11. D. Weld – Vintage Crop
12. M. Johnston – Attraction
13. J. Bolger – St Jovite
14. A. O’Brien – Istibraq, (if he’s not allowed Galileo…)Does this mean Reveley has spilt with Nick Williams?
As a former betting shop employee, we used to love people with such a nice attitude.
Long gone are the days of betting shop chains paying treble time for Bank Holidays. Perhaps those working in such a den of iniquity do not deserve to have time to spend with their families? Is irrelevant now as most shops open every day except Xmas day (UK racing or not) largely because of those horrible machines
