November 21, 2006 at 17:07 #31783Best
Hilary Clinton to be impeached in 2014 after she lies on national television about her intimate moments with the man who changes the toner in the Oval Office printer @ 10,000 – 1
EC and Stav to have a Christmas number one with their cover of that old classic, ‘The (Standard) Times They Are A Changin’ @5,000 – 1 (I’m picturing a log fire, knitware and stopwatches)
Osama Bin Laden to be found hiding in Keiran Fallon’s garden shed the day after he is aquitted of all corruption charges @ 4,000 – 1
Paul (hic) Merson to be the next England manager @ 1,000 -1 (not such a longshot if the FA Committee hold their interviews in the pub)
Adam Gilchrist to say "Bowled Warnie!" after every single ball of every match of the Ashes, whether or not Shane is even on the field @ 50-1
Worst
Tony Blair to apologise for his illegal war before the end of 2006 @ 1,000,000 -1 (I was drunk)
The Vatican to announce that the Pope is in fact an Anglican @ 5,000 – 1 (Because you never know)
ITV to schedule a programme worth watching before the end of the year @ 1,000 – 1
Lolly’s Mate to become leader of the Labour party by 2007 @ 10,000 -1 (Turns out he’s too moderate)

A well-balanced portfolio.
You can spend the Gilchrist one now.

November 22, 2006 at 10:24 #31785Yeah the Tony Blair apology one was definitely a bad bet Aranalde, you must of been VERY badly drunk.
Have you actually backed any horses antepost or are you just a "specialist" antepost better?
November 22, 2006 at 11:57 #31786Certainly not. Horse racing is a mugs game, I thought everyone knew that.
November 24, 2006 at 17:16 #31787Distant Thunder – Hennessy :(

November 24, 2006 at 18:48 #31788Heather McCartney to get £50 million or less divorce from her settlement @ 3/1 from Ladbrokes,
Teofilo 33/1 in 2000 gns,
Teofilo 20s for the Derby,
Detroit City 26/1 and 14s for Champ Hdle
Juveigneur 44/1 for Hennesy
Napolitain @ 60s and 40s for the same,
I can’t believe John Kerry’s price for the Presidency of the US in 2008: 55/1. Or the short price for Hilary. She’s much too far to the right for the mood of the country and not popular outside of her patch.
And John Edwards 8/1 for the Oval Office,
Tidal Fury 25/1 for the Arkle,
Fair Along 12s for the same,
Exotic Dancer 10/1 for the Boylesport Gold Cup next month.
Several withdrawn horses and ones I fancy less (which will probably do better).
And I’m still grieving over the injury of Alexius before the Leger a few years ago.

November 25, 2006 at 09:42 #31789I forgot my very worst Ante Post bet in years & apologies to any Brentford FC fans…
Backed the Bees for for Div 1 in mid Sept after not a bad start to the season in the belief their young team could play a bit.. from memory, think they were top 3 or 4 at the time.
Since then:
Played 17
Drawn 6
Lost 11
Goal Dif -25!!
Bottom 3 now & managerless :(
