£1 would be a fair price as I am sure there are large amounts of the paper that each of us dont read.
Soeur Fontenail
This was sickening indeed and I hope that maunik does pull through but I fear the worst for him.I hope that drunk driver gets the book thrown at him but somehow I doubt it.
Seeing a horse jump and win like this is why I love jump racing. It was sheer pleasure to watch yes I am sure the horse can go the Gold Cup distance.
P.S. I take back previously what I have said about iris’s Gift jumping.Although he ran out of steam I was impressed with his jumping.
I can only add to everything written in all the above.I would also like to thank the Burridges for letting us the public be part of his life.
He was a wonderful horse and will always be my favourite horse ever. All my lounge walls have pictures of him on them .I heard it on the News and even though I had tears running down my cheeks I was smiling at the great memories he gave, especially his Gold Cup win.
R.I.P. Dessie.I will love you forever. xxxxx
very sad news.He was a truly wonderful horse and always tried his best. You know the day is going to come and you always dread it.It is so fitting that he will be buried at Kempton.Thank you Dessie for all the wonderful years of pleasure you have given me.I will love you always and forever .R.I.P. xxxx
Jackane I agree with you whole heartedly. This sint the first time he has made such ill chosen comments.
Yes pride was absolutely brilliant, brought a tear to my eye and well done to her, fantastic, especially after her gallant second in the Arc.
Quote: from davidjohnson on 11:11 am on Sep. 13, 2006[br]Do you think Electrocutionist’s groom cares what an over-opinionated TRF member has to say?

Yes I expect they would when they are expressing their sympathy over the tragic loss of the horse and not bleatinmg on about the form etc.Well said Jackane
He deserves a long and happy retirement as well as Grey Abbey whose owners finally saw sense and retired him.
Another welcome Ruth and great to see another NH lover like myself.Cant wait for it to start.
C’mon guys – he’s held up his hands to a stupid loss of temper (which if you were handling a dangerously misbehaving horse you’d probably do too) and publicly apologised; the trainer of the horse has no problem with what happened and the horse will hardly have felt a thing! He would have got his backside tanned for such dangerous behaviour in a yard, out of the public eye. Some perspective, please!!
I ahve ridden many unruly horses but would not dream of headbutting them.It was only sheer luck that he missed.Ity’s got nothing to do with being a do-gooder,ALL jockeys should care 100 percent about the welfare of their horses.
Brilliant news.Well done Cormack and good luck for the future
This is apalling behaviour.I hope he got a lengthy ban.If I were a racehorse owner I would make sure none of my trainers EVER put him up on one of my horses, disgraceful:angry:
Very sad indeed. My condolences go to all connections.
In the same race as Soeur Fontenail.Let’s hope they both come home safely.
Great thred.
My favourite horse is Soeur Fontenail. She is a Plumpton specialist who always runs her heart out.She is running there on Monday so watch out for her.
Also love Pretty Star.Handsome boy who is a bit of a monkey !!!!
I remember Dom Samurai… a tiny horse who could jump a mountain .On his good days he was brilliant.
