Thank you FN. yes I know his old yard well, in fact my photo horse Good luck charm is currently there before he returns back to the Cisswood Yard. Your story of how you were treated by everyone there sums up Garys yard and everyone who works for him.

Yes I absolutely love the horses and hose racing and have done for 47 years. Droffats look out for Good luck charm at Brighton this year his favourite track. He has had 5 wins there and generally runs a really good race.

No Drofats you clearly don’t know Gary Moore ! I am probably in the best position to comment on his quote regarding ashtray and motorbike !! I co-own horses trained by Gary and some have had wind ops and it has not made an iota of a difference to their performances. Occasionally it does work and occasionally it doesn’t. I would hate to think that a punter would bet on a horse simply because it has had a wind op.
Gary is one of the most honest, funniest people I have met in y life and his family are the same.I am always asking questions about his horses ( not ine) and he will always answer them. He is an extremely shy man and I can see why some people think he is miserable when they have only seen him on TV but once he gets to know you he really comes out of his shell. He has given me 11 winners, 7 with this gorgeous boy Good luck charm in my photo. Look out for hi at Brighton this season.

Hi. I have been with Heart of the South racing for 8 seasons now and have been really lucky to have had 11 winners. I currently co-own 3 horses with them one of which has won 7 times, twice last year. There is a share available in him for this coming season for a one off price, please see their website if interested.
Not only do I get a lot of racing but they also organise owners events and I have had some fab days out. Making that original call was the best phone call I have ever made. I cant praise them enough. :yahoo:

Hi. Has this been confirmed as I have not seen this mentioned anywhere. I was at Plumpton on Monday and it looked fatal to me but have searched on the web and cant find it confirmed.Where did you hear it was fatal? Thanks.

I am also having an issue using the site. It prompts a log in box but I cant log in. There is an email adress within the box but I have not used it. To be honest there is a better thread on Facebook which is more up to date.

He is the worst commentator I have ever heard.I have not heard a decent commentry from him ever and I will not forget that he wrongly called my horse as second at Kempton sending me towards the winners enclosure and I missed the jockeys debrief in the losers area.

I was watching the second horse from aroind 3 fences out and he was absolutely out on his feet and in my mind he should NOT have jumped the last fence. In hindsight yes he was OK but he could so easily have fallen and laid on the ground winded for a seriously long time. Very poor judgement from the jockey. Its not about prize money, the welfare of the horse should have been number one in his mind.

Amazing photo and not the only horse to misbehave like that on this track. I have seen videos of not only this horse but another doing the same thing, very scary for the poor jockey.

He isnt a patch on Simon Holt.I can understand it if colours were similar but as pointed out by myself and others he calls the wrong horse. Thankfully he wasnt at Kempton last Monday when Good Luck Charm WAS 4th and although the 4th and 5th were very close the commentator announced GLC correctly and quickly and this time I was right to go to the winners enclosure.
I have never liked Mike Cattermole, his mike was on one day when he was off camera and I heard him be very rude and arrogant to a member of staff at C4 demanding an umbrella.

It was confirmed by a member of staff that works at the stable and confirmed on other sites.A terrible sad outcome nevertheless. I am now pleased that the blame is now not pointed at Joe. R.I.P St Ignatius.Loved seeing you at Brighton even if you did beat my " special girl ".

if the horse did indded have a heart attack yhat may explain his poor jumping of the first fences.I havent seent he replay ( dont want to be upset ) but I know Joe Akehurst and I would be very surprised and disappointed if he were to blame, but as I said, I didnt watch the race.

Ryan Moore rode my first winner ( 4 years ago) and rode my last winner ( September 2014 ) He gave both horses a brilliant ride especially my last one at goodwood. He pushed him through a really small gap and got him running. I wish he could ride our horses all the time but I cherish it when he does.

Roberto had our colours and never to be’s colours been similar I could forgive him but they arent. It isnt the first time he has done this as Tony quite clearly states and he didnt even correct himself. Not acceptinle when it came to me missing the debrief.

Last night this idiot called my horse as second in the 8.55 at Kempton when he actually finished 5th.As I am visually impaired I went with what he said and made my way to the winners enclosure. Thankfully en route they announced the first four home so didnt actually enter the enclosure. By the time I found Good Luck Charm the jockey had gone and I missed the post race debrief. Thanks very much Mike. Watching the replay this morning even I can see that the second horses colours are nothing like ours. Grrrrrrrr.

A bit in and out for me.he has won on 4 out of 5 of my winners but also has the knack of keeping my horses at the back when some of them prefer to be nearer the front. But I do agree that he has had a fantastic season this time……….Just dont have GLC at the back next time george !!!!
