    A true story…..If I may

Around 2000,my daughter was learning to ride, she was 6 yrs old and just lived for horses, loved being around them and cost her parents a small fortune!
We live a couple miles away from the Moores old stable,Ninahagen will know the one, near the racetrack.Through a friend I was able to take both my daughter and 4 yr old son,one sunday morning, around the stables to see the horses.
Armed with two bags, one each of carrots and apples, off we toddled. The stable lass met us outside and was brilliant with both the little ones, they had a great time.
Gary appeared during the visit, knew we were coming, friendly and curteous,me standing there as the pair of them were hurtling around the stable,he wished us well and off he went.
The yard was immaculate, and just in the short time we were there,it was clear the people who I spoke to,absolutely loved the place.
As we wandered around, the subject of racing/betting came up,as my username suggests my true love is NH,although mixed, the yard at the time was mainly flat horses If I remember,so many of said beasts really meant nothing to me.
Just occasionally in life a door opens that you did not expect, and as we were talking she said that she mainly worked the weekends, knew there were some nice horses running soon, but that something was happening in the next couple weeks that the whole stable were looking forward to.
What happened next……”one of gary,s sons was about to join the jockey ranks as an amateur, been riding since he was a tiny, and he is fantastic jockey even at his age”
Well the rest is history…..his name…..RYAN
There are a few more stories after that, maybe another day.

I still live and work in that area, meet many non racing people, the Moore family come up occasionally in general conversation,I have genuinely not heard a bad word about them, they are very well respected.

My daughter is 23,has her own horse,Ninahagen is speaking not only as an owner, but I suspect as a horse lover, believe me when you live with one,you know the signs, and yes she loves her old hack maybe more than me!

    GL with the ownership.

Thank you FN. yes I know his old yard well, in fact my photo horse Good luck charm is currently there before he returns back to the Cisswood Yard. Your story of how you were treated by everyone there sums up Garys yard and everyone who works for him.

Yes I absolutely love the horses and hose racing and have done for 47 years. Droffats look out for Good luck charm at Brighton this year his favourite track. He has had 5 wins there and generally runs a really good race.
