Whist reading the article about the ‘Phillip Blacker War Horse Bronze’ I happened upon an article about ‘Big Bucks’ retirement. He is now hunting and the lucky lady was given Big Bucks over a chance conversation with Nicholls wife, Georgie. Quote from H&H:- "I jokingly said to Georgie [Nicholls, Paul’s wife] that I could do with a new horse. She said I could have him and that was that. Paul said I could just see how it goes".

November 3, 2014 at 13:32 #494395We don’t know what went on behind the scenes at Ditcheat. Reading between the lines I don’t think owner and trainer were getting on a long time before Kauto’s retirement. So taking one side over the other is pointless imo.
Glad to hear Big Buck’s has a place of retirement that he can enjoy.
