Septimus won a G2 over 10f – admittedly as a 3 year old. Also placed in a 12f G1 (Coronation Cup) last year. If he has a good weight, he might just do it!
Seriously well done, Gaz!
And, even more impressive was david, the speediest Ascot human! Thanks for a job very well done.
Yes, I think we probably all agree that Zarkava would win (and probably easily). But from what her connections have said, she may well go for the Prix Vermeille and then hopefully on to the Arc.
Of course, if she doesn’t stay the 12f – I think she will though – she might well end up running in the Opera and winning it despite LL and Natagora.
Didn’t JB say that the Coronation was likely to be LL’s last race at a mile?
If the two clash (and it would be something to savour), could the Prix de l’Opera be the race? The 10 furlongs looks right for both fillies.
Coronation – Psalm e/w
Gold Cup – Coastal Path to win
POW: ASK – e/w
Queen Anne: MOUNT NELSON E/W
King’s Stand: EQUIANO E/W
SJP: STUBBS ART E/W
Thanks, paul, for including the emoticon. Didn’t intend any editorialising. Poorly today and have spent all day in front of telly and computer – going doolally and feeling sensitive.
Thanks for that, paulo. Very clear and succinct. Any chance of giving this a rest – unless/until another Bolgerism occurs?
Thanks, andy, for recommending those articles. Excellent journalism – lots of food for thought. Interesting stuff about the training regime suited to Belmont success – needs a very hardy horse I’d say.
Pretty obviously Big Brown didn’t get his best possible placing though – would he have been last if Desormeaux hadn’t pulled him up? Any enquiry into this?
Oops – I was forgetting about Famous Name. Think he is definitely in with a chance.
New Approach again – class!
I think Murtagh is on the wrong horse, for the third time this weekend.
I’ll be cheering Zarkava on, but think both Kitty Matcham and Proviso may give her some competition.

I’d love to see a King George of New Approach, Soldier Of Fortune, Tartan Bearer and Look Here. Is it too much to ask for Peeping Fawn as well?
Can we also add Youmzain, Ask and Getaway (will be much better at Ascot on right-handed track)?
Now that would go some way to restoring the lustre of the King George!
honestly think we seen something really special today
Wholeheartedly agree, fist.
Derby: Doctor Fremantle – e/w
