I did see it and as a result put this one up!

Just a quick note to thank all that were helpful on here but above all Emmy and TRF itself. Emmy was instrumental in finding "Reggie" a wonderful new home with an absolutely ideal owner from whom I look forward to regular updates.
Thank you.
Thanks for all the assumptions made in spite of over 30 years of ownership where all my retired racehorses have been found good homes or alternative careers. I have been in touch with Moorcrofts and this is still the main option. The reason I offered him on here was because I remember reading a post where someone was looking for an ex racer to go showjumping.
Won’t be making that mistake again since there are those who clearly think they know alot more than they actually do.

Article on corticosteroids. Clearly more research needs to occur before trainers know exactly when it will leave a horse’s system.
Not sure 127 will be enough to get him into the Centennial. We feel it will be such a compressed handicap that about 132 will keep us safe. This is why we are pondering over 4 options this Friday and Saturday. The least attractive is probably the Pendil at Kempton since if he gets beat the handicapper may leave him unchanged and if by some miracle he wins it will take him above 140. That leaves the remaining options at Sandown and Chepstow. We are looking for the most winnable race bearing in mind that Chepstow’s ground will most likely be the most suitable.
Any feedback from you AP will be welcome.
Thanks AP, am delighted he was able to confirm his run against Tail of the Bank and Surfing was no fluke. Now if only the handicapper would give him enough credit to raise him enough to get in the 2m5f handicap at Cheltenham!
The horse has finally learned to settle and is no longer the tearaway he once was. Previously a hold up horse, Jimmy McCarthy clearly gets along very well with him and realises the horse doesn’t like to be bullied….I thought he gave him a terrific ride today. Credit also to Denis O’Regan who did most of his schooling over fences at home.
Hope you’re right Mike. Looking forward to the juvenile hurdle.
Agree AJ, but my point here is, what is it the stewards saw?!
I also felt that Charlie Longsdon should have been a little more supportive.
Longsdon, to whom Carberry is attached, said: "I was told he rode to the wrong finishing line. I thought he lost third because of it – that’s what I’ve been told."
Even that doesn’t make sense. If he thought he lost 3rd as a result of this then he must have seen it….but he then goes on to say he was told this. A more supportive trainer would have said "I haven’t seen the replay so am unable to pass judgement as yet"
I said Normally. There will be exceptions to the rule. If more than one has all three then the best horse at the distance will normally win.
Actually you said "Only the winner will have all three", but never mind.
I said it about Midday and i will say it again "hek normally in a group one race only the winner gets the perfect ride. You must have a group one horse ,a group one jockey and a group one trip,(free from trouble not of your own making)some call it luck.Only the winner will have all three. quote]
So basically what you’re saying is that generally it isn’t the BEST horse in the race that will win these Group 1’s, since according to you only the winner will have all 3 ingredients. What nonsense! Don’t you think it’s possible for 2 or more horses to have all 3 ingredients with the end result being that the best horse on the day wins? Sunday Silence vs Easy Goer springs to mind. Was it only SS that had the 3 things going for him? Or Dancing Brave’s Arc? There were plenty of Group 1 horses and jockeys who had a far better trip than Dancing Brave. The BEST horse won.
Dinarius has been laid out for Aintree. Was no more than 75% fit when beaten by Silk Hall at Stratford after a lay off. Has not stopped improving since and at a likely huge price will be a shrewd ew bet.
Yes Colin, still mine along with Lemon Silk who also runs today.
