Scratched this morning…
March 13, 2011 at 11:16 #344526…and back in by Monday?
March 13, 2011 at 11:20 #344527Gaz,
No, 48 hr decs for the Champion Hurdle, so it’s final.
Reading between the lines of that press release, does that mean that another one of his horses has failed a post race test for this anti allergy treatment?

Not declared, Gaz.
It all sounds very odd, not least because no mention has been made of the horse’s allergy before.
Old Fisty must be on the brink.

This no brings the sport in disrepute. Henderson again has a doping problem in his stable….what is wrong with this trainer and his ability to hire proper vets or give to a horse a substance that is clearly not on the banned list of substances.
Secondly why where we not told about this allergy 2 weeks ago. Its is a damning of Nicky Henderson.
Terrible news…
March 13, 2011 at 11:39 #344533Looking at the Betfair forum this drift started early yesterday and yet Nicky Henderson did not come out with a statement last night.
Inside info again allowing punters associated with the yard to make a nice sum. Now i am not against this but Nicky Henderson should have come out last night to make the issue clear. He waited again until this morning.
How does JP McManus put up with such incompetence wilo be interesting. He is loyal but even this morning he patience will be tested
March 13, 2011 at 11:42 #344535I suggest whether this is another example of trainers not being honest with punters about the welfare of their horses? According to ATR this morning Binocular has been "injured" for a few days so the news he’s been pulled out of the Champion Hurdle isn’t a surprise.

You should all be ashamed for thinking Nicky Henderson is bent, whether you’re trying to say its forced by financial or medical motives.
Disapointed with some of the insinuations from people not just on TRF but around the Internet.
Give the bloke a break, there are a lot more trainers to be worried about than Nicky Henderson.
March 13, 2011 at 11:48 #344538Not saying he is bent
Just at best Incompetent
and at worst a bloody gobshite!!

Not true, I was checking runners and prices yesterday at 7-8pm+ and he was 3/1 generally and 4.40 then.
March 13, 2011 at 11:55 #344541I checked last night and he was out to around double his price. Now fair enough the bf forum may not be the most reliable source but this decision should be made public straight away.
Now maybe he waited to this morning for the press hacks to get hold of the story but why did we not know he had an allergy 2 weeks ago.
According to another post atr said he was injured for a few days?? is this true?
March 13, 2011 at 12:02 #344545He was 4.40 after 8pm, I was marking prices, the market is now suspended.
March 13, 2011 at 12:04 #344546antepost market is suspended the day market is up but zilch liquidity.
Great stuff by PP refunding losing antepost bets
March 13, 2011 at 12:07 #344549This was known by Friday at the latest so one would have thought this handed started early to mid week that their was a concern over medication
"There was a lot of information to gather so the earliest we could have said anthing was Friday afternoon. Secondly, there was a genuine expectation that the levels of the substance would come down as testing went on but it didn’t. A key factor was the fact that every bookie was by then NRNB [non-runner, no-bet] on all Cheltenham races"

I love "the fact that every bookie was NRNB" as justification for sitting on a market-shattering piece of information.

As far as I was aware Victor Chandler has never been non-runner no bet.
Nicky Henderson is reported as saying Binocular was in ‘great order’ according to the Weekender published only a few days ago. No mention at all of any problem in the build-up to the race. I assume JP’s team vet all the comments so I suspect any accusations regarding the lack of information should be laid firmly at the owner’s doorstep. It would be nice if one or two members of the press stopped looking at JP through rose-tinted. The man continually treats punters with contempt.
March 13, 2011 at 12:29 #344561I would seriously doubt that JP team would vet comments. I understand you point regarding his general punts but i don’t think we can blame the owner for what clearly is just a mess of a situation.
Didn’t McCoy have a front page spread on the RP this week talking about binny?
