Another game winning performance for Gardasee at Pontefract in the first.
Given a very nice ride by Amy Ryan???
Congrats to all concerned.

July 2, 2007 at 14:22 #105755Confidence restored which will hopefully hold him in good stead if and when he goes back over hurdles.
Keep an eye out for the 6th Riguez Dancer who didn’t get much luck in running and maybe worth a try over further.July 2, 2007 at 21:59 #105808Congratulations Naps, he stuck his head out nicely, gutsy performance.

July 2, 2007 at 22:37 #105811Thanks all. It’s always nice to have a horse who tries his best, even with limited ability. Hope he stays ahead of the handicapper for the time being.
July 2, 2007 at 22:53 #105814Well done Naps and all connections. Can you tell us anymore about the jockey? Very confident ride imo and perhaps one too look out for?
Looking forward to him back over Hurdles.

July 2, 2007 at 22:55 #105815She’s Kevin Ryan’s daughter and when interviewed on RUK after the race said that she was contemplating taking an apprentices licence in due course.
July 2, 2007 at 23:02 #105816Well done naps et al
July 2, 2007 at 23:55 #105824Thanks Pete et al. Many of the lady jocks called up for the ride but we settled for Amy due to the fact that she is a very tidy rider and is good value for her claim….she also has a very good strike rate.
The plan with Gardasee is to try to nick a few more of these flat races before giving him a short break after which he will go novice chasing this winter.
July 10, 2007 at 14:31 #107108Good luck with Gardasee today, naps.
July 10, 2007 at 14:42 #107112Thanks Colin……expecting a good run.

Your an incredible 15lb worse in with Kylkenny today for a head beating. So in theory Gardasee shouldn’t be in the same parish as Kylkenny, of course there is the unpredictability of racing. But Gardasee won’t be carrying my money, certainly not on those terms.
Nearly forgot best of luck anyway.
July 10, 2007 at 15:37 #107124correct me if im wrong but its a 7 pound swing in the weights
oh and best of luck of course
July 10, 2007 at 15:38 #107126Thanks Colin……expecting a good run.
We haven’t crossed swords on the forum yet Naps, so this is my first post to you and it’s to wish you all the luck in the world. I hope the horse gets the hat-trick for you.
Has he done any schooling yet over the fences, or is that for the future. Let me know how he gets on won’t you
.Good luck today and for the future.

Sorry ben, there was 4lb of a difference the last time, and fifteen this time Pickard claiming 3, it adds up to a 11lb difference in total today. Still in theory has no chance with Kylkenny, but of course there is other horses in the race.
July 10, 2007 at 15:50 #107133it was actually 7 last time, but yes i agree with you, read literally should still have no chance, not that anything will be carrying my money in the race

Yeh officially ben, but taking into account jockeys claims, Gardasee carried 9.4 last time and Kylkenny 9.0. With Pickard able to claim 3lb, Kylkenny will carry 8.2 with Gardasee carrying 9.3 = 15lb, less the 4lb more from the last race = 11lb.
July 10, 2007 at 15:58 #107135Gardasee 9.4 minus 3lb claim 9.1
Kylkenny 8.13 minus 5lb claim 8.8difference of 7lb or are we reading a different script?
