hope this gives buick a chance to shine now, texted him a few days ago when the hillsy story came out, hes not been getting the rides he deserves IMO Yes yes i know hes had alot of success at the top level but its the numbers that count, and for his sake i hope he can rack them up this year and i fully expect him too, genuine jockey and has a great racing brain.

For me its the thrill of racing, and owning a horse in a race is an amazing experience, I suppose you could say its like betting, you dont always win, but you keep going back and trying, if you had a bet expecting to win everytime, you would end up suicidal because more often than not, you lose!

To be completely honest though, the people that own racehorses have alot of money generally anyway, a horse will cost around £1000 a month just in training fees, then you have vet bills, shoeing, gallops fees, race entries… so with the % on offer to winners, i would assume people would not take the risk unless it did not make a difference.

Think you will lose from day 1. you wont be disheartened when you do! if you dont, bonus

I Agree zarkava, i always loved him as i stated earlier, and yes his record is quite good considering, but hes the sort of jockey that if i had £1,000,000 to put on a horse, i dont think i would be confident backing a richard hills favorite!

Will be missed, but i fully expect him to start training, i normally see him in my local waitrose newmarket so will have to ask him his plans…

    Really hope he trains,

May be a big shout, but i can seriously see him doing very well!

Well, I’m glad you’re not using the ruin-inducing geometric staking progression of doubling after a loser – 1 2 4 8 16- independent of odds, and apologies for believing you were

Using an arithmetic staking progression – 1 2 3 4 5 – independent of odds is undoubtedly a much safer strategy that will result in ruin significantly later

However it would appear that your system is not an arithmetic staking progression but an arithmetic win progression dependent on preceding and succeeding odds i.e you stake to return a set amount at the odds available – ‘cover to win’ staking with the stake needing to be higher with every successive losing bet

As the stake is not only increasing after every losing bet but is also wildly variable due to the fluctuating odds, you have little to no control over the stake and hence no idea what stake will be needed to service the bet after x number of losers

    Do I need a bank of £10, £100 or £1000? don’t know, can’t know

Anyone considering a venture such as this would be well-advised to consider ‘worst case scenarios’ so why don’t you experiment by applying your system to the run of 12 winning odds-on favourites at the SPs given in Cavelino Rampante’s last post

There’s no malice intended or ridicule attempted, just that those of us who’ve been around the betting block a few times have heard, read and seen all this sorta stuff before

Incidentally, has Kennydoomed the instigator of this system deducted Betfair commission from his figures? Perhaps you should ask him

Dont worry mate i can see why it would be misleading, and the worst case scenario is covered as i am accepting my own "if i lose i lose" policy, and not putting big bets on
I apologise for assuming you were making Malice comments!

Robust debate to say the least. A lot of hyperbole being bandied about. Sounds like we are talking about Australia v England Test match at Lord’s. The way I see it re-Black Caviar v Frankel, it’s like comparing apples to oranges. Let’s all be honest (fair dinkum) about this. Both camps have different agendas. Frankel’s aim is the Eclipse against So You Think and I believe Black Caviar has the Diamond Jubilee and possibly the July Cup as the aim. Digressing for a moment.

When both finish racing what chance when Frankel becomes a sire and Black Caviar goes to him? How much would that foal be worth????

I know the answer to this one  £320,000,000

    Think thats covers it

Longest winning run for favorites is 9.
Average winning price for favorites is a shade over 2/1 at BFSP.

So retrieval staking 9 losers at average 2/1….

Ohh i see what you mean now, it is only odds on favorites i have narrowed it down too as then it cuts losses, and like i said im not doubling.. heres an example as you clearly didnt read the link i left on here to the system..

You try and win a set amount per race – Lets say £1 as a round figure,

Say the first horse is 1/2 – Lay it for £1, it wins, so you lose 50p…

so the 2nd race (as your trying to make £1 a race, you need to win £2…) The horse is 1/2 again (for example) so you lay it for £1.50… It wins again,

So the 3rd race you lay the horse to win £3 at (again an example) 1/2.. So you lay it for £2.50, It Loses, you have made your £3 in 3 races, so take this onto larger bets.. then take into account

THE ODDS ARE ALWAYS DIFFERENT SO IM NOT DOUBLING BETS!!

Also if a horse like frankel runs, im hardly going to lay it?

Just in claimers and handicaps etc..

so unless there are 100% winning favorites, eventually you will get your money back..

You would be very unlucky to have 9 winning favorites on the first day of the season knocking you out of the game…

What date was the 9 winning favorites btw?

However i do thankyou for your concern.

Not quite following the exact method being used here but the longest losing run of favourites in the UK by

    published off time

for the last 3 full years is

    2009…25
    2010…26
    2011…21

    You’ll go skint.

Again, losers are good… its a laying system..
