Rather than burden yourself with multi-taps of the keyboard, and burden the forum with another incarnation of an old-and-tired-as-the-hills staking ‘system’ why not do as Purwell suggest and study all 59 pages of the ‘Old Boy’ thread – boom-boom-bust-bust-big-time
I see you represent a firm which deals in waste paper – apposite or ironic? take your pick

In my opinion these ‘doubling’ staking systems are not "fun" in the slightest, as their intuitive and addictive appeal to the innumerate renders them dangerous
What’s your starting stake going to be?
Shall we say 10p – do bookies still accept two-bob bets?
9 successive losers (or winners in your case presumably) and your next stake will be £102.40
think on
quote me when i said i was going to double up everytime… if you read my previous comments, i posted a link to the thread of the system, like i said, im not doubling bets, and im not betting more than i can afford…
Read on….
It is intuitively appealing Lee, but flawed – a losing run (and it is inevitable sooner or later) will bring it down.
We better hope it doesnt then! Only a little bit of fun and not big bets, wish me luck!
Because if you lose 5 or 6 times in a row, you are [expletive]-ed.

This is what im doing, so as long as a favorite gets beat at some point, you will make 100 per race, so if i lose 8 in a row, you lay the horse to win £800, only on odds on favs, and 54% won last year i think it said… so im going to give it a go, not with 100’s though! build up slowly!
… kind of like the RED/BLACK on a roulette (Lose, double it, lose double it)…
Lee
That strategy is potentially the quickest way to ruin going.
Rob
Sorry Rob could you elaborate please?
Lee
What it is Cormack im trying the Lay system in the Systems area, (£36,000) so its not a case of level stakes laying, its trying to make a certain amount of money on each race, kind of like the RED/BLACK on a roulette (Lose, double it, lose double it)
So as long as a favorite gets beat this season, im in the money, the lower the % of favorite win.. the better!
Cheers.
Persian punch all over again, it is so rare to find horses like that, that love to race, and dont know when they are beat, and dog on until the line, in his own respect he was a nice horse and i for one followed him along with the tatling! sorry for the loss they may be racehorses but they are more like pets…
again, sorry
BC’s win was a sit sprint too. I’m sure she’d stay a strongly run 7f the way she cruised to the line but we didn’t learn a whole lot from that run.
exactly what i said/thought, problem is you cant really tell alot from her form as not alot of them come over here!
she won over 7 on the bridal… who says she cant stay 10f?
<!– m –>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39gE8Q0OIDw<!– m –>
Her breeding,
Bel esprit – 7f
helsinge – out of an 9f mare
and bel esprit out of miler royal acadamy, so he breeding suggests she could get 1m (1f more than shes been running over)Yet she wins on the bridal? plus they go a slow pace over there, hents why i said "over there" not sure about it in england…
With, that figure you would be on loss – every £100.00 invested you would have received back £92.00.
You will need to scroll down the page to get the "stats" you want.

So in theory backing every one of them to lose (Lay bet) would mean big dollar
… just trying something! Thanks alot buddy
This should help between 1991 – 2010:-

Thankyou for that matron but im still struggling here,

91%
So am i right in thinking that with regard to every race since 1991.. 34% of favs have come in,
So what does this mean win 92% on the right hand side of it??
That was taken from the top of the page!

He’s young, he’s hungry, my money will be on SDS
Boots them home

Joe was injured last year so his number of mounts was much lower than might have been otherwise. If he has the desire to go for the title, he would have to be a serious player. As good as Ryan Moore is, until the state of his main stable is known and how likely he is to relocate to Ireland, what are his realistic chances? It is a market with far too many variable factors to make it anything other than a fun bet.
as much as i agree hes a good jockey looking at his past rides hes still never had over 700, and averages about 500-600 which is probably around half of the required rides to keep up these days! (unless your on about 40%SR)
And as far as a i know ryan will stay, but with the "state of his main stable" im not actually going to bet on it, and its too hard to tell with so many factors coming in, but with all being well for every jockey, i rate him higher than most, especially with the new rules!
Joe Fanning – he’s been knocking on the door for years and he’s had a great start to 2012.
I also think his riding style fits with the new whip rules quite well so hopefully he won’t be picking up too many bans.
Yeah very good shout to be fair, hes flying on the AW and i agree his style will suit the new rules, unlike the likes of frankie dettori who sits with his stirrups so high he has more chance of kicking himself up the arse than the horses belly, and relies on his whip too much!!
The only problem is i feel old fanning is very underated, his strike rate was that of the boys at the top, but with only 371 rides compared to Hanagans 1133, His chances are nothing unless he gets more, hopefully he will carry on his productive aw season and now hes affirmed as top jock and most likely to ride every one of MJ’s runners (if available) hopefully he can go well. just needs those 5 a day, and i dont mean fruit!
Don’t forget the Irish 1000 Guineas, Gord, I think the Curragh will be ideal for Wading over the mile……

I wouldnt back her ante post matey, i spoke to ryan moore a while back and he said aiden thinks shes an oaks filly so will most likely miss it as they have another filly in mind for the guineas, i agree i think wading will suit the track/distance but it they have another filly in mind i would smash ante post!
Great another expert who has ridden over 10000 winners…
That’s an absolutely puerile comment. People are allowed different opinions to yours without attracting such remarks.
But, as it happens, I do agree with you. I thought it was an outstanding and very cool piece of race-riding in a potentially dangerous situation.
The three early smacks (light taps in all honesty) were a totally justified attempt to straighten the horse. There then followed the permitted seven strikes. The ban is patently farcical.
Mike
If it was worded as an opinion, i would have taken it as an opinion, if you state that "HE HAS DONE THIS" "HE HAS DONE THAT".. Be 100% sure before you give the facts, hents my blunt remark, you cant tell what he was thinking for the reasons he made his actions, so dont pretend you do… JMO
Im all for the fact that jockeys will have to become "Jockeys" Maybe the stirrups will get abit lower to the lengths of Moores etc (ex jump jockey) and they will realise its going to take a bit more strength to get a hard ride home, But IN MY OPINION, this situation was rediculous, you can understand if he was in a fighting finish head to head in the right position on the track if a horse veers the jockey gives him a few hard slaps, but this horse went from one rail to the other! it needs correcting sooner rather than later… And to those saying the result should have been reversed, Darren egan who came 2nd also recieved a ban… so give the race to 3rd place beaten out of sight? nicky has come from one rail to the other and still won, if he had had a true line it would have been comfortable… IMO
I’m more of a lucky 15 fan myself particularly as you get double the odds with just one winner.
Treble the odds in my hills shop as its 4 doors away from a betfred!!
I live in newmarket so i assume i could get the same sort of offer!
Im really interested in giving this a go, just hope you have not given up as it seems to be working well!! Do you have any selection choices as all of your selections seem to be odds on…
Cheers, Lee
