should be Banned forever IMO… its amazing how lightly someone can get off, say she fell off, she would of landed pretty much headfirst, with about 4 horses behind her and the ones shes on still running, one kick to the head and your brown bread, disraceful behavior.
I spoke to marco today, she is now cantering and has been since last week, these are his words "She a very good mover, mentally she is very forward and ahead of alot of our yearlings, she looks early, and everything we have asked her to do she has done with ease, i like her" (marco also owns a share)
So thats a bit of exciting news, its important to not get to excited but when someone who trained the 2nd best miler in europe this season, tells you he likes a horse, its hard not to!
I have organised to go down to the yard on saturday (x-mas eve) as its the only time im free, so i will post updated pictures of her and try and get a quick video of her excercise!
Thanks alot for the positive notes!
It usually takes a good few weeks to go through the naming process with whetherbys we bought a filly in October.. it takes around a month for tattersalls to send you the invoice (depending on how far in the lot number) then whetherbys take an ages to confirm the nme as again its all sorted out by lot numbers at a time… I expect if he has the name ready it wont be long until its released… However all we can do at the moment is try and get the breeding.. will ask a friend who rode for Michael Owen to tweet him however with him getting so many a day its unlikely… He who dares wins…
Have the coolmore team update their website with regard to any new additions to stud, if they have added the newest horses at stud to stand next year, the racing post may have an updated stud fee for 2012 ?? I will look into it if I have more time hope this helps
Yes he was very popular up in the north… well horses couldn’t travel far back then, I spoke to my grandad today about it, he said "he won 34 times.. it should have been 35, he had been gambled this day into odds on favorite and I got him beat a short head, I should of won.. he will never be forgotten, and neither will I After getting him beat!"
Hi Lee
Which lot was she at Tatts?
i would say its this lot she looks very nice
1129
B, F, y, Exceed And Excel — Steeple (Selkirk)Yes you are correct lot 1129, yes marco seems very happy with her aswell which is always a good sign,She has put on alot of weight aswell since she came to the yard, she almost looks like a colt! for £30,000 she was quite cheap considering what exceed and excel has done so far, without frankel excellebration is the best miler in europe!
And i see in your signature its about desert orchid, Elsworth trains another nice filly we have "salford art" i was going to write a few paragraphs about her season with the ups and downs and problems we have had, and talk about our targets for next season but didnt know if it would go down to well, any feedback on my idea if you would be interested on reading about her let me know i will make a thread!
Yes its a shame but i expect when the RP changed the name on their system it changed them all automatically
‘Fraid so, yes. The
Post
‘s results archive is founded on a relational database model rather than a multi-value one; so changes such as those to a horse’s name will always apply to its entire career thereafter, regardless of whether the name that then displays for a given race result was the correct name at the time.
Creating two separate database entities for a horse that undergoes a name change would uphold the historical accuracy, but create other problems in the process.
See also races like the National Hunt Chase at Cheltenham, whose back results on the
Post
archive display all the amateur riders to have turned professional subsequently as already professional then (which of course they weren’t).

Welcome to the forum.
You are the racing manager for an owner who spends 9 / 10 ths of their money on L.S. Lowrys paintings ?
I don’t suppose you want to sell shares and / or horses do you ?Yes i am, i thought there might be some curious posters on this forum, i have alot of proof of who i am if anyone needs it with pictures of me and salford art, pictures of me getting her winners prize at windsor, and i think somewhere pictures of me at newmarket in the winners enclosure with her!
And yes tony is the biggest private collector of L.s Lowry paintings, most of them being in the salford gallery "the lowry"
And no there are no shares to be sold!
Dont forget to facebook me i have a few photos on there!

It is a shame that Salford Mill’s name has been wiped from the records of the Racing Post. Comes up as Helene Mascot, even for the Derby.
I once went on a stable visit to David Elsworth’s at Whitsbury. Where I got bitten by Salford City!
My own fault. Still had the bruise three weeks later. My mother went to the village school with David Elsworth. I say school, it was one classroom with less than 20 kids. I believe he then moved to Ludgershall and went on to Tidworth School at the same time as Richard Hannon?
My father was at Great Shefford at the time Lester was there.
Thats realling interesting, Small world! Yes its a shame but i expect when the RP changed the name on their system it changed them all automatically, and Salford city! you were lucky to see him, he only ran one race for tony winning his maiden, then he was sold to Michael tabor for £700,000 he ran twice for michael, and was sold to america where he got a hefty injury, came back over the jumps and didnt impress!
Yes david was at whisbury for a long time to be completely honest im not sure why he moved to newmarket and to this day had not answered that question! saying that his yard is only about 500 yards from the july course at newmarket, and he lives in the kings old house!
Nice to meet you! Lee
