LS I think you are more realistic about the 2 I like for this, Mittens and Enthrall at 7-1 and 8-1.

I have bet Mittens at 12-1 and Enthrall at 20-1

I have bet Capri as well Voleur at 25-1 as I can’t believe he is that price after The Curragh. Good luck with your bet that is a great voucher you have.

I am aware that not many firms have this pair priced up, but I would love to see Benbatl or especially Thunder Snow get aimed at Longchamp and 33-1 for the latter is the one who am I am going to risk

I think that at the price ORDEROFTHEGARTER looks very decent value.
He looked to have trained on from a promising 2 year old when he ran out a good
winner at Naas in March. He looked even better the following month when he breezed
to victory in the 2000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstowm, without breaking sweat. He was
a little disappointing at Deauville next time out but ran a decent race 3 weeks later
in the Prix Du Jockey Club at Chantilly in June, where he was slightly impeded at the
death and maybe should have finished a bit closer than the 3 lengths he was behind
Brametot and Waldgeist. Last time out in the Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot, he
went off favourite and was cutting down the winner, Benbatl, in the final furlong
but came up a 1/2 length short. I’ve watched it back a few times, and I think he did
really well considering he had a bit of a barging match not long after the start and
then had to be pulled widest of all to get a run, whereas the winner had the run of the
race just in behind the leading pair. I backed him on Sunday at 33/1 (put up in the
ante post thread), but the 25/1 that’s still available will be long gone come Saturday.
I can see him going off a quarter those odds and I fancy his chances a lot :good:

I am a huge fan of the horse BigG, and I bet him for the derby and the guineas, but it was not to be. I do not have to add anymore and I have had a few pounds at the 33-1 mainly for the reasons you have given. I hope he gives us a bit of excitement.

Surely this has gone on too long?

Personally, I haven’t got any problem with people listing their winners before or after the race. What is there to gain from making up winners?

I have much more difficulty with the continued rants about after timing. Only one person appears to be bothered to the point of raising the issue over and over again.

It is effectively suggesting contributors are liars with no proof. Is that really the way a forum should be operating?

I only come in here every so often, but every time I do come in it appears to be the same person calling people out for their bets or aftertiming, and very obviously singling certain posters out for criticism. What is also very noticeable is that he will dish out praise to one certain poster to the point of it being sycophantic, and that will actually congratulate that poster on his own aftertimes. This was particularly noticeable during the Cheltenham discussion, I commented on it and got called a troll for my troubles. I find it all very intriguing to say the least.

As someone who can only aftertime losers, I think it is worth pointing out that aftertiming is a natural occurrence where there is talk of gambling, it is unavoidable, and far less a crime than the trolling which this poster is continually guilty of.

Thank you for all your efforts Pat, and I really enjoyed taking part. I would love to say my poor performance was a one off, but if I am being honest it is an accurate reflection of my betting history, and thankfully I do not bet much these days on the horses. It will not put me off having another go though

What an unbelievable performance from VtC and as Nathan said you smashed it. Some of your bets were spectacular and you were a very well deserved winner.

Yeats landing the 4 timer was a special moment, but as for the actual best race, I could not possibly pick just one. On a personal note, Kris winning the St James Palace Stakes made me a very happy young lad.

A very fine offer Clints, I already have my tickets for tonight or I would gladly have taken you up on the offer.

Youre more than welcome. Gutted im missing it but didnt fancy standing on my own in the rain although I did contemplate it. Hope you back some winners. I reckon Dancing Breeze can go well for Frankie in the 7pm race, dropping back in class. Good luck.

Thank you clints. Although I am definitely a flat man, any rare wins I have are normally over the sticks, but it was a rare good night for me particularly from Surrey Hope to win and Glorious Forever to place, so it was an profitable evening for me for once. I am not a very successful gambler so I might knock it on the head for the year after getting two in the one race.

I completely agree about Dancing Breeze who is definitely one for another day.

Viktors, I agree about naggers he is very interesting, but at 33-1 a horse I really like for this is Edward Lewis. I know that he might run at Musselburgh before this but I think he will appreciate the step up in trip here and I hope they give this race some thought

I would agree with that TheGun, we need a proper star to light up the summer, and this horse certainly has the potential to do that job, and I am very hopeful that we see a big performance today.
