    AKIHIRO 33/1

I know we in jumps mode but saw prices at William hill and for me this horse is overpriced normally look for a 3 or 4 year old horse. And this is a unbeaten horse who got nice breeding and looks a standout 3yo french contender. He is 2from 2 and on last start stuff National Defense who then romped home in group one at Chantilly. This horse can give Fabre the arc again. And not to worry he stay in France not come over to Epsom for derby i rather he stay in France for 3yo carear.

I have mentioned this horse a few times on the 2yo thread and Ginger’s thread. As of now he would be favourite for the Poulains and Jockey Club so around 20/1 would be a more realistic price. Leaving aside the opposition the possibility of soft ground might be a big negative.

Sorry for being a bit of a d*ck, but, National Defence is trained by Treve’s old trainer, Criquette Head-Maarek

I have a Fiver up on BF @ 42.0 for Jack Hobbs to win this if anyone would be so kind.

Connections have been so patient with this horse. Irish Derby winner @ 3, a setback early in his 4 year campaign but ended it off with a great third to Almanzor and Found in the 10 F Champion Stakes on his first run for 6 months.

Jack Hobbs if staying sound will make up for lost time next year i’m sure, just like his Father Halling did. Sheema Classic first port of call next year.

Good bump Darren. I really fancied Jack Hobbs to be the Top middle distance horse this year after his comeback behind Almanzor & Found in the Champion Stakes last Autumn.I got some great prices on him over the winter on the exchanges, as well as a few bets @ 33’s with the books.

His win in Dubai gave a lot of hope for this year and hopefully he stays sound.I would not like to be backing him for any race Ante Post over the Summer though as i doubt they will risk him on fast ground.

Also like Minding as well for this, so have started having a few small bets on her as well lately.I can see her price ( 16’s ) getting shorter quite quickly before the Summer.

Good luck with Akihiro as well, another one who could easily step up and be a live chance at this stage as well as a few others no doubt . :good:

So Mi Dar may be of interest to me Daz should they go down that route
She had that setback but ran okay in her two races when she did get back to the track
Not ran further than 10f but she strikes me as one that could step up and run over 12f

I’ve taken Minding at 12/1, Cloth of Stars 40/1.

I have no idea if he’ll even end up here, (I find it very difficult to find information in the French media) but 40/1 seems like the value bet.

La Cressonniere has been retired to stud after a back problem which curtailed her three-year-old season resurfaced.
Such a shame she couldn’t run in last years renewal.

I’ve added Terrakova 33/1. Trained by Freddy Head, by Galileo out of Goldikova and she’s 2/2, whats not to like? Granted she’s beaten nothing, but I can see her causing an upset in the Prix de Dieane against Shutter Speed, and if she wins that there’s only one place she, and her price, are going.

I have had a bet on Rhododendron for this.

If she wins the Oaks her price will surely collapse. With Minding and some others in this race having had set backs, it makes me question the value in their odds.

If Rhododendron wins and shows she stays the trip in the Oaks, she then ends up as one of Aiden’s best prospects I would say. It just may end up her ultimate target this season.

It’s a gamble of course but at 33/1, you don’t have to risk much and could be sitting on a nice voucher tomorrow evening.

    Arc De Triomphe Rhododendron 33/1

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.

I don’t want to overstretch my book in this, but I’ve added Cliffs of Moher 25/1 much for the same reason that Steve punted Rhododendron.

If he does what I hope he will today, 25/1 will be long gone.

Had a couple of bets on Highland Reel @ 75.0 & 90.0 a few days ago. The day after my first unintentional book ends, it looks like i am off on another one. Backed Walgeist @ 46.0 as well as Cloth of Stars @ 100.0
