An intriguing group of progressive and unexposed fillies are entered for this one.
I can’t give too much away about my own thoughts because I actually priced this one up for the firm. It felt like an absolute minefield with Irish, British and French coming together and exposed Listed horses meeting handicap graduates and maiden-winning wildcards.
If you could make a list of all the massive rickets in those prices, that would be very helpful
July 4, 2017 at 13:53 #1307630LS I think you are more realistic about the 2 I like for this, Mittens and Enthrall at 7-1 and 8-1.
I have bet Mittens at 12-1 and Enthrall at 20-1
July 4, 2017 at 17:05 #1307645I could easily have another bet in this, but 3 selections may be excessive for a field which may be on the small side. It may make more sense to do forecasts on the day, but I was at Sandown when Dancing Breeze ran and she looked like a filly to keep note of. I do not think she performed at all badly in The Sandringham, and priced up at 16-1 with William hills, I think that is a generous stance.
July 4, 2017 at 17:29 #1307650Do you price up from scratch LS or do you get a set price given and alter….?
I only ask as when looking at oddschecker most firms are always pretty similar whereas if I were to price the race up I’d have the winner Pacos Angel at 2/1……
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
July 6, 2017 at 17:53 #1307821Pacos Angel now 5/2 from initial 6/1……

Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
July 6, 2017 at 18:16 #1309130Since we sponsor the big races at Sandown this weekend, we were keen to be the first up there with prices.
…then everyone else copied!
July 7, 2017 at 11:14 #1309174Dancing Breeze at 10/1 for me!! three lengths behind Paco at Ascot and drawn what turned out to be the wrong side.
July 8, 2017 at 01:45 #1309260On paper it may not look a strong renewal but I think this race will work out well and defy people’s expectations.
The favourite looks a solid enough one but I’m sweet on the chances of Pavillon. This will be her first run on turf after 3 runs on the all-weather. She came from a mile back to win a fair enough class 3 handicap at Chelmsford before coming from a similarly distant position to take 3rd in a hot handicap at Wolverhampton. That form is working out nicely and I feel this longer straight will play to her strengths as she really picks up but just needs some initial rousting. To smaller stakes I went in on Queen Of Time, to show a modest profit if she were to prevail. She was mightily impressive at Goodwood and back at a similar course I feel she can turnaround form with the favourite as she was racing on the slowest turf at the Royal Meeting and all on her lonesome.
Pavillon 10/1 (for decent rewards) and Queen Of Time 7/2 (for modest rewards)
July 8, 2017 at 06:06 #1309270Must admit I can’t see any brilliant bets at the prices now, but is there a chance Tisbutadream steals this with an easy lead under one of those great SDS rides?
