GWILSON77: You do yourself an injustice suggesting you are not as articulate as some on here. You have a way with words that conjures up the imagination. In fact your description of 400 threads per square inch made be recall a hard time I had in a Moroccan bazaar trying to escape the clutches of a keen salesman in a carpet shop. In fact, the more I think about it, I wonder if there is more chance of finding a ‘flying carpet’ than there is of getting any of these systems, trends or patterns to work.

Grateful it went to odds on, then there was a false start and to top it all the fog made viewing almost impossible. The omens for not betting were spot on. From the little to be seen it was never going like a good thing. I live to fight another day. Give Leighs a miss today.

He who hesitates and all that. Should have acted whilst still odds against but the price of Silvanus (1.55 Gt.L. but scheduled for 2.05) is now just odds on and therefore outside of my criteria. However too foggy for comfort.
Now I hear false start. Swerve.

I appreciate what you’re saying about putting the thousand piece jigsaw back together. But like most of us on here, I imagine, we always seem to lose that final piece of the jigsaw.
I would also imagine that using your system, assuming the bookies have cottoned-on to those patterns, that this will be reflected in the odds of said horses. Therefore, would it not represent better value to look outside of the box?

Sorry to disagree Pauloster: It’s not a case of what you know and who you know – it’s more like what you know ABOUT who you know.
If I was in Craig’s situation, I’d probably be inclined to put a few bills in a brown envelope. Nod nod, wink wink. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not suggesting that all Americans are open to bribery but if you like a bet then perhaps the odds are in your favour.
Sorry, I’m being silly and disrespectful. The only advice I can give is be honest but above all else, BE YOURSELF. If they don’t accept that then it’s their loss.

Aren’t I a silly muppet? I didn’t think that ‘ice’ one through, did I? I can just imagine the commentary…… " and Kauto Star comes to the water jump… oh dear…oh dear…

Patience is the name of the game. Since my first bet went in I’ve missed a couple of likely candidates but I’m not downhearted. My big mistake would be to try finding one every day but I’m determined to keep a calm head and strike only when it feels right. Seven days into the new year and I’ve only had one bet – unprecedented. From the outset I’ve thought that it’s going to take a lot of time and patience to see this through. I realise that others might get bored with this wait and see approach but this is not just about testing the system out it’s also about me having to undergo a radical change in my betting behaviour. So please bear with me whilst I take my time in planning my next big coup on Column Two.
    Cheers

To be truthful, I don’t really mind how people respond to my threads. It’s just nice to get any discussion going. You afford me too much rationale to suggest I was covertly seeking inside info. but it’s a good idea because I’m sure some trainers must be finding it impossible to even walk their horses out of the yard. Have you noticed how many more horses are being turned out quickly again of late? Is the first run a training exercise and the second for real, I ask myself?

Please correct me if I’m mistaken, but as my thread BE WARY was about the inclement weather for training purposes, it seems that I should have been more wary of my post being hijacked. Alternatively, someone might wish to discuss the possibility of opening a racecourse where the horses run on ice – is there not such a venue abroad somehere?

Thanks Pompete, but I doubt if many have heard of West Derby in the Bahamas. It’s a one mile square piece of real estate surrounded by clear blue water. The sun beats down most days and I rarely move away from the beach other than to judge the local beauty competitions and watch the ladies beachball league.
However, a long time ago I did pass the Registry office you mention and am familiar with Matthew Street where I played a few gigs before making it big in the States.
Hope your marriage was as successful as I’ve been over the years.
I must admit Ladbrokes seem pretty determined to locate me considering all these posts I receive about where I’m based.
Now, if my partially successful system continues to attract this much interest then I think I should consider appointing a PR officer – is Max Clifford available?
p.s. there’s a recycled toilet roll in the post to you, with my compliments.
    Cheers Pomp

3.40 Southwell. My impression of video replays for:-
Came Back – needed a strong drive from Daryl Holland to push it out to the line. Not sure that with Ann Stokell on board this horse will be able to repeat the success.
Jack Rackham – first impression of last run was that most of them seemed to be a poor bunch and the pace in the final furlong appeared slow.
Charles Parnell – was impressed with the way he came from 3 to four lengths down in the final furlong and even the commentator said that it was unusual to find horses coming from the back at Southwell. He seems to have a good turn of foot where it matters.
For that reason, my choice is "Charlie is my darling"

Yesterday, on SYSTEMS, I notified having placed a bet prior to the off but subsequently noticed that my posting time appeared to be after the official race off-time. Was worried that some members might think I was pulling a fast one so went to a site called EXACT TIME NOW which shows my computer as only one second slow. However, I notice that the forum clock is more than a minute fast. Just thought the Admins. might possibly wish to rectify this unless of course it’s intentional in which case, sorry.

Sorry, Seagull. Miles off target. That said, I suspect you’re one of Ladbrokes hitmen coming to take me out before I take them to the cleaners. However, Rosalind seems interesting, so if Ladbrokes want me to abandon my system perhaps we could negotiate something with a few Rosalinds as my payoff.
On the other hand, maybe my initial success, £6.25, is making me a little paranoid.
    Cheers.

Just a thought. When should I expect to receive my email from Ladbrokes closing my account? I bet they’re running scared now. Sorry, only jesting.

Hoohah! Hoohah! Well worth the wait. Good old Jim Crowley. That’s Column One up to £10 with £1.25 in the Reserve Pot. Next bet will be on Column Two. Not sure when but I’ll bide my time. Bye for now.

Well, not the best of days to kick off but there’s been money for Surwaki in the 1.15 @ Lingfield and the trainer sounded optimistic so it’s a fiver on @5/4. Fingers crossed.
