Golden Chieften Midlands Grand National 2016

Had £175 e/w at 20s. 12 lengths clear going to the last and hit the deck – as did i

You weren’t the only one crying into your beer Jaymo (figuratively speaking), myself,
and Raymo if my memory serves me, also had him on at 22s and 20s. One of those moments
where you stare at the telly for about a minute, not quite believing what you’ve just
seen. A gut wrenching moment, which I had til this moment been able to put to the
back of my mind….thanks pal

I still haven’t forgiven Brendan Powell. I remember being out my chair shouting ‘go on the chief’ ‘go on the chief’ as it was devouring up the ground in the home straight. I flung myself to the deck as Powell went over the horses shoulder with the race at his mercy. Many a sleepless night since :negative:

    Altior 1st
    Min 2nd

Straight forecast of the festival IMO.

Your probably right. My pocket needs Min to win (8/1 antipost).

Does Ricci have any obvious entry for the Neptune? I cant think of any as good as Let’s Dance? Turcagua, Koshari, Fullham Road etc are nowhere near good enough and I think Senewalk has been put away for the year but I’m not sure if that was confirmed..

Senewalk defo been put away to retain novice status for next year

Interesting posts Zark. I actually agree that 4/1 is a miserable price for a once raced maiden winner. The price is based on potential and who trains it.

Very interesting and informative posts tho

There is no chance Neon Wolf wins this.

Neptune or no show for the wolf in my opinion

That’s with betfair sportsbook just read apparently ante post bets have a max payout of £100k but on the day betting is £1million. Worth noting that most bookies have a lower max payout for antepost bets.
However bet365 do £1million max for antepost

    Bet365 are 2mil anti post payout. I’ve done a 5 timer that they’re settling at 2mil

    50s 25’s 10’s NRNB 16s NRNB – Crack Mome

I’ll redirect you to my prices on Melon and Crack Mome. Cant see how that gets me 2/1, but you know more than me mate

But of fun just wanted to see which horses people think are a cert to place not necessarily win. In a big accumaltor don’t care how many selections but with some of the prices around at the moment getting 5/6 horses to place would be big returns

Tycoon Prince – preferably in the coral cup but also in the Martin Pipe 25s for both

Yeah I’ve got him to win any race.
I think he will have 2 more runs before Cheltenham which will lower his odds drastically so have to bet him now. He runs at Musselburgh Saturday and will probably be 1/10 and win in a canter but the bookies will probably half his odds just because they can

The way bookies slash the odds for horses winning uncompetitive races is a rip off to the punter. Are you worried about the fact that Charlis been kept to flat tracks??? IMO opinion,if JP had more amo,i think Charli would miss the fez and turn up at aintree instead

When you put it like that yes it does sound pathetic. One races maiden winner.
I just haven’t seen anything be impressive at all though except Charli parcs who will be my nap wherever he goes.
Melon won his maiden convincly and has a lofty reputation at home.
Many of supreme horses didn’t win first time out that cosily.
But agree 5/1 is very short but the 10/1 before the race was the key.
If Charli parcs races he wins though so just bare that in mind

Have you backed Charli for any race yet or keeping your powder dry till declaration time??

I have no idea, I quoted Ruby. 5/1f in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle for a once-raced maiden hurdle winner. LOL. Your head needs testing if you’re backing that, seriously.

I’ll see you at the fez. You’ll recognize me as i’ll have a bundle of 50’s at 1.35pm on tuesday

    Are you a bookmaker :yahoo:

    Lol, very good mate :good:
