Top Notch will be fine on Good to Soft. Very impressive today.

Top Notch done me a favour today but im a believer that this horse really wants to get his toe in. Even on good/soft i think its a lay. A bunch of below standard fencing by the opposition exaggerated the performance. Good luck to anyone whos weighing in,but its not for me

I always say whatever JP runs in this back it….Not this year though,I reckon Ballyandy is tailor-made for it,closer inspection sees him getting in with a mere 10-6,thats a flyweight. His form is top class for a Novice and it will need to be to win a Betfair hurdle but this fellow has a touch of the MTOY’s about him and I think he’s a massive player at 9’s on the machine.

Got him at 16s the day the decs came out Gordy. Steal of the century off 136 :good:

I dont think he really wants the ground this soft and he probably isn’t a crack 2miler either. He would interest me more if he turned up in something like the coral cup on Spring ground this year. Handicap mark is perfectly feasible so i hope its preserved for a tilt at the festival. I’ve parted with some hard earned on ‘Beltor’@25s win/place. This 1 time Triunph hurdle contender is now 10lb lower than in his pomp. He showed that his mark gives him room for manuevour when hitting the front too soon and chucking his race away at Kempton latest. Soft ground holds no fears.

Maybe Melon is the superior horse but it would slightly concern me the way he dived at the last on his debut win

there’s not long to go to the festival to get the experience needed

moon racer looks more the finished article- maybe melon the better prospect in the long run but the pipe horse looks rock solid

also cast your mind back to his bumper win- was beating horses like yanworth, bellshill, form which looks rock solid in the context of this race. and to me on the video he looks a stronger and more confident individual than he did then

I agree about the MR form, I’ve stated in previous posts that it was a rightful fav at the time. You’ve got to think that willie knows the time off day though. The horse has had its niggles that have kept it off the track, otherwise he would of bunged it down the Vautour/Douvan route. Instead he put his faith in Crack Mome cuz that was his best available at the time – IMO

the other factor is that you’d have to think that at the mullins yard they believe that Melon is a lot better than this crack mome.

Melon is the superior horse. Dont discount Crack Mome if we get our usual good/soft start for the Tuesday. Think it could be a Mullins 1- 2 like it was 2 years ago.

Although I wouldn’t mind Minella Rocco winning/placing either!

Minella Rocco crosses the finish line on Saturday :negative:

    Any second now not entered

Crack Mome backers can’t be happy about that news.

1 less horse to get in the way of Crack Mome as he scorches up the hill :yahoo:

Anyone wishing to have a punt on this should just back Whisper at 10s NRNB, forget about the Mullins merry go round and sit back and watch as all the opposition gets re routed to other races. You’ll be sat on a stress free 10/1 ticket thats probably gonna be half that on the day. Entered in the R.S.A. but i think he’ll never make the hill at top pace so the J.L.T it is.

Does he need soft ground though?

I don’t think it matters to him nowadays. In his early years,he always showed his best on Spring ground but i think it all comes the same to him now

Looks like Vroom Vroom needs a trip after that Donny run so defo no Champ Hurdle. Not sure where she fits in this year

Funny about Maggy, I feel it was more the ground than the trip that exposed her. It always looked like she wanted to go and zoom up past Midnight Jazz but the ground just sucked up all her speed. She did beat Identity Thief over 2 miles which is probably her best form to date.

With a dangerous looking Apples Jade waiting down the Mares route your guess is as good as mine as to where she goes.

Definately agree with the Apples Jade quote. I think the stayers is the more likely target but wont be getting any of my cash

he each way part of MYOY is a solid bet

Rumour has it MTOY is bound for the county hurdle. JP is stacked to the brim in this race as it stands.

JP’s got a couple in the county that have caught my eye. Hargam and Ivanovich Gorbatov. Both been campaigned with this in mind. Now rated 146 (u.k) and 148 (irish) respectively.

Campeador wins the County hurdle for JP.

Has trouble getting over the last :negative:

By the sounds of it if Buveur D’air doesn’t win or run a great race Saturday he will be going champion.
Which would surely mean yorkhill stays in JLT ??
If they both pull out of JLT there’s massive prices to be had!
And in that scenario would Min re-route to JLT?
I’m now kind of hoping Buveur dair wins Saturday so it does mess everything up haha

Ricci/mullins hve American Tom still in the JLT at this point. Was as short as 9/1 until his mishap over Christmas. Im sure Min will stay on the Arkle path
