Ultra competitive event as always. Hargam bit the dust for my A/P bets, but after watching him run in the Coral Cup,i think the horse has gone at the game anyway and had zero chance of winning this. Still got 1 live A/P bet going on Ivanovich Gorbatov @20s. Campaigned for this after connections probably felt he wasn’t good enough to dine out at the top table. Was hoping Phil Smith would of cut him some slack but O’briens chucked a decent claimer on to boost his claims. I’ve since chucked some pennies in the direction of Winter Escape @12s. King thinks the world of this horse. The champion hurdle was talked about at the start of the season. A mark of 140 should not be beyond him if his trainer had such high aspirations.

I think Defi du suel and Mega Fortune are lay material in the Triumph. With conditions set to be quicker on the new course, they can be taken on with the likes of Bapaume, Charlie Parcs and Landofhopeandglory. I’ll stick my neck on the line and say that Defi Du Suel may become the latest big gun to miss the fesival.

Holywell goes off single figures on Tuesday so nows the time to take the 14/1 with Bet 365 nrnb to £25 e/w.

Not another rookie mistake TAPK?? Wait till 4pm tomorrow and get paid 5 places

He’ll be 8/1 by then pal and he’s going to win off that mark.Confidence is King.

I dont disagree that he wont win,but if your doing it e/w,then waiting 24 hours for an extra place is the shout

As i said i was talking to the owner Thursday night (he’s one of the 2 guys that run Supreme Horse Racing) Jim Ballfrey, he said they are very confident on BOE and turned down €750k for him this week.

They should of took the money

Top man G, i thought i was the only 1. I’ve played him from before debut for nice money. Im glad the ground has firmed up for him . I’d have him infront of River Wylde in the betting and seeing as i don’t like the 2 handicappers in this either, that makes him a frame up horse at least.

Backed Bunk Off Early and Ballyandy both 25s and 33s NRNB for Supreme last weekend. Makes the anticipation that much sweeter!

Not sure if Bunk Off Early turns up. Maybe kept back for aintree and punchestown. Great price tho if he makes it. Ballyandy wins nothing

He turns up alright. Bye Moon Racer. Bye Neon Wolf.

    B-) B-)

Its a fair cop JJM. Bunk off Early looked like Aintree material to me. You’ve got a nice price now tho so good luck with that. I’m possibly the only poster that gives Crack Mome a squeak. Your gonna see a different horse at Cheltenham than the 1 that got beat in the Moscow Flyer. IMO,i think he’s the Mullinns 2nd string. Not long now till we get our outcome #no gloating

Couldn’t resist it – gone in again for the 6th time on Crack Mome at 16s. Betting dosn’t suggest it but i think this is Mullins 2nd string. Good ground suits

At last I have found the winner of the ‘Close Brothers chase’ on the Tuesday, bloody tricky race as always but again I have to go with previous Cheltenham form so its Romain de Senam 8/1 nrnb with Bet 365 to £25 e/w.

If you could’ve waited until Monday night, bet365 normally offer an extra place in the Ultima and the Close Brothers. Im sure the price would be the same,if not bigger too

Acted on good ground before and was running very well on gd/sft before UR at cheltenham last time. Loved Balthazar King!

Fair enough, its probably got a squeak then. I was a big BK fan too – except that day :negative: Backed it in the National when it got injured – at the canal turn i think. Shame really, lovely horse

The double would be a monster. Does that ‘Auvergnat’ want soft?? Gets pretty firm on the cross country course? I backed Any Currency a few years ago at big prices only to watch him get out battled by Balthazar King on the run in. Thats the closest i’ve come

Fond memories for me in this race from last year. Weighed into Mall Dini after Denis O’regan gave it a positive spin in a preview night – probably the only good thing he’s done in years. I can’t expect Denis to come up trumps for a 2nd year so i’ve had to do my own homework.

2 i like this time around are Perigrine Run and Lac Fontana. PR already has graded form in the book in beating the well touted Wholestone and West Approach in the process. Being out of Kings Theatre,he’ll need the quicker ground to be a contender but i think thats gonna be the case. LF won the county a couple of years back. The Nicholls team were proper sweet on his chances that day. He’s back on a similar mark and looks to of retained alot of the old ability last time out before finding 3m on soft abit of a stretch.

    At 12s and 25s, im a player
