I have a feeling Mikael Dhagneut will run a huge race if he lines up for the Arkle. Already money around for him 20s into 12s. He was such an exciting prospect at the start of the season but everything went down hill after his fall when getting ready to hack up at Faireyhouse before christmas.

Providing he regains some confidence and gets a clear round of jumping in I can really see him going close. His class and ability is unquestionable and there is no better man to ready a winner than Mullins and get the horse spot on for the day!!

Thank god justice has been served and Maguire is free to ride the biggest winner of his life.

The punishment to begin with was completely off the wall. I seen the race live and several replays after and seen nothing that warrented such a ban. I believe the trainner and jockey know the horse better than any of you. If they say he is lazy then he is lazy. None of the top jockeys I have heard speaking about it felt that Maguire had done anything that warrented such a punishment nor would anyone with a bit of sense. Its horse racing not a horse show. They cannot be wrapped in cotton wool. The whip is part of the sport and thats how it should remain. Nobody involved in racing wants to do harm to a horse or undermine animal welfare. I am not condoning abusing animals I hate cruelty. He made a mistake and will now serve his correct punishment.

I cant wait to cheer peddlers cross and the future champion jockey home in the Champion hurdle!

I know that neither winners had much of a shout today on recent form. His second winner in particular didnt appear to have a chance on paper at all but came in at 28/1. Complete outsider of the field.

I backed D McCains Panzer in the Same race without checking the RP form or racecard as I walked into the bookies seconds before the race started and I had backed it the last few times it won!!

Went to check RP after the race and seen someone had circled both his winners, so someone had a tip!

An example of your average joe punter not having a chance with inside information maybe??

This thread is a little fruity if you ask me!!

The strict rules are a little OTT IMO!!

Removing threads for a little speculation??

PC gone mad on the racing forum?? :? :?

I dont think Spencer is the right choice for Ballydoyle, I dont really like him as a jockey either. He gets it wrong far more than he gets it right Imo!

Shame Pat Smullin does not want the job, or so i belive, correct me if im wrong on that. I think he is one of the best on the scene at the moment, and by far the best to ride from the front too!

Im 23 and I spent 5 years in University here in Ireland earning degrees in Construction Management and Quantity Surveying. Finished up college in the summer and graduated with strong grades in both, a 1:1 and 2:1.

A mick in the building game without a shovel in his hand – no wonder the worlds gone mad!

If I had a shovel in my hand you wouldnt want to be around Limey

I only reall binge when Im hungover!! Like yesterday for example, I had not drank since newyears eve and gone to the gym 4 times a week for the last 3 weeks in order to get back in shape after the holidays! Then I went out for a quite pint saturday night and ended up crawling in the door at 8am Sunday morning!! Then I got up at about two and readily began munching my way through the day! A fry up, 5 packets of crisps, a crunchie mcflurry and a beef curry with large spring rolls!!

Haha basically everything I had cut out in one day!! Not to mention the 12 hour drinking session before!!

You dont put your name on the betslip do you!! If its an online bet then all you need is the account access codes!!

Dont see it would make any diference if you fell off the pirch before the race, a bets a bet is it not!!

    Yes scarred and dissillusioned!!

Im 23 and I spent 5 years in University here in Ireland earning degrees in Construction Management and Quantity Surveying. Finished up college in the summer and graduated with strong grades in both, a 1:1 and 2:1. Have been out of work since Novemebr when the contracor I had been working with since 2004 went bust, very bad time to be in a building and very hard to diversify into other industries coming from a construction background, people are not willing to give you a chance. Hoping to generate some work in the coming months through setting up my own business doing some building contracting, I know of some local contracts coming up but people expect you to work for nothing now and competition for the smallest of contracts is fierce. If that doesnt work out Ill be on a plane downunder no doubt with all the other graduates. There really is little hope for anyone at the moment.

    The lost generation no doubt!!

Good luck JJM – nothing personal, you understand, though I’ve yet to be convinced that a 23 year old graduate, who’s contributed little more than "this’ll win, that’ll win" to previous big race discussions, is ready to advise what’s generally a clued up membership with a fortnightly tipping column?

Is this handbags at dawn??
