Its that time of year again, budget 2012!
I hope you have all done your stretches and lubed up cause we are about to get *******!!

Still not sure were I am on the National. It was carnage this year. The amount of fallers and the deaths go to show that the safety changes have done nothing for the race. The worse part of it for me is seeing so many jockeys taking horrible falls some of them were stomach churning.
Terrible shame about synchronised he was one of my favourite horses, an ultimate fighter. I dont think the national should be stopped as it is still one of my favourite races but I do think it needs a little tweaking. I think the race needs to be slowed down so I wouldnt lower the fences, maybe reduce the size of the field too.
Horses die every week while racing its just something that you have to accept even though its tragic. My concern about the national is jockey safety as I fear one year it will be much worse than equine fatalities hitting the headlines.
Christmas is cancelled this year!!

This is still not enough as the simple fact remains 8 times is neither acceptable or practical in long distance national hunt races.
It still wont work. The problem still remains. The BHA are idiots.
my twitter is -@emmykgts
and i has a blog – goodtosoft.blogspot.comfeel free to take a lewk

Nice blog Emmy good read
!!Gina Bryce and Emma Spencer watch out
!!To be honest this is getting to be more of a joke evry single day that passes without the rules being changed for National Hunt.
The game is over until the BHA cop themselves on. Those of you in favour of these rules are killing the game you claim to love.
Its the begining of the end for National Hunt in the UK.
Its a shame Dustin the turkey didnt run for the Aras this year he would of got my vote. What odds on Jedward getting the gig next time around.
They have ruined racing in the UK. Especially the NH. They found the whip wasnt cruel, thats the funny part. I hope betting and attendances fall as this will sour alot of core fans and punters.
The sport is in big trouble. Its no longer a betting proposition over there.
The festival and grand national will suffer greatly. 8 taps in the grand national, thats a laugh. The legend Ginger McCain will be turning in his grave.
They have ruinned National Hunt racing.
These rules are ridiculous. Wait until the NH kicks in. Thank god they havent ruined racing this side of the Irish Sea.
Mascherano did the same beofore his transfer to Barca last year. Refused to play for Liverpool before the game at Man City funnily enough. Doesent say much about some Argentian players menatlity’s but then again look at the great Messi, complete sportsman.
Personally I hate City and I am glad. I hope it falls apart and the Billionaires pull out stradling the club in debt and sending them back down the divisions were they belong.
I nearly hate Man City as much as United, not quite though!! Dont tink Tevez has done himself any favours though in seeking another big club. West Ham tried to take him back on loan today but City have refused. Dont tink he would of been too happy in the championship.
I have alot to say on this too much in fact, therefore I think I can sum up my opinion in two simple words….
Bull Sh*t
Who will benifit from these new rules, it certainly wont be racing.
Of course every single horse that runs in every race in the UK or Ireland is sent out to win, to run completely on its merrits and every jockey tries his best and hardest to achieve the best possible place.
Of course

Bad jockey’s, slow horses and bent trainners!! Thats all mythical!!
The racing post should have a new symbol on the racecard!! T or NT, ask the trainner to delcare their intentions when they enter the horse!! Cant see it catching on mind!!

I sense a touch of sarcasm in you’re post. So the big question is with no one holding a gun to your head, why do you gamble?
By the way the gun bit is a metaphor.
Horseracing is not the only sport I gamble on, I enjoy gambling! Also I have learnt in the last 3 or 4 years since I really started following the sport the sort of races, horses and trainners to avoid. Had my fingers burnt plenty of times at the start. If only all horses ran to form it wouldnt be as difficult now would it. I would agree with Phil I dont bet as much on the flat anymore. Not nearly as much as before anyway. Thats not to say there isnt dodgy goings on in the NH scene too but I think the flat is alot more open to corruption.
And also just because I am a realist who knows some horses are stopped dosent mean that you cant love the sport. Peddlers Cross, Hurricane fly, Sizing Europe, Yeats, Frankel, Ballabriggs, Sea the Stars and many more great horses are why I love racing not to mention the great festivals, Cheltenhman, Aintree, Pucnhestown, Ascot, Goodwood and so on.
Theres much more about racing I enjoy, if i didnt I wouldnt follow it. It has its dark side too though. As do most sports. If racing was straight then whats with all these tips, whispers and gambles on animals with no form. A sly good word from a jockey or a trainner, some quality inside information.
No your all right it never happens. All horses are sent out to win and run on merrit.

Peddlers cross will hack up. There is no question of his ability jumping a fence. He jumps like a stag and was born to be a champion over fences.
If peddlers turns up he wins, simple!! Arkle will be his first of many Cheltenham festival successes over fences. He is a machine not a horse.
I love Tanya, I would jump in ‘females’ bedding ring anyday!!

She is a good judge too, I remeber last year I think it was a horse called circumvent she tipped up at 40/1. I hadnt studied the race at all and had just flicked on so blindly backed her selection 2.50 e/w online!! Hacked up!!
Leave Tanya alone!!
At last Dublin welcomes Sam Maguire back home to the capital.

It may only be a handful but it happens all the time.
Isn’t that a bit of a contradiction ?
Not really as I would say you could find at least one dodgy race a week somewhere either side of the Irish Sea so I would call that all the time. Its not once in a blue moon anyway.
