As far as NH is concerned McCoy is the best by far when a horse needs to be pushed right out to the line, i would imagine he is the strongest jockey physically in both disciplines, NH and flat, even when he falls off he rarely seems to get hurt too badly!!

I think when on song Fallon is the best for a drive on the flat, i have seen him win many races that ohter jockies would of lost for certain all down to the infamous fallon drive!!

Racing for change should try make racing a little more sexy, take a leaf out of greyhound racing and darts just make it more classy

Yep, Phil Taylor, Andy Fordham, Martin Adams, Wayne Mardell, Peter Manley, the massed throngs at the Circus Tavern, ..sex on legs, the lot of’em!

    Hilarious

Oh dear; I’m an old traditionalist, but, don’t worry, I’m not offended. I’ll just go away and shoot myself…..

    :?

Nothing wrong with tradition and values but racing is an industry that needs to sell to young people, its time to move foward and shake up its image, history is all well and good but sometimes you need to change with the times. Racing needs bigger crowds at meetings, better prize money, better quality racing, bigger sponsorship deals, more gambling, wider coverage, more etheusism, more appeal, more owners and more money generation in all areas of racing!! And more sexy presenters and smoking hot models at the courses is a good starting point!!

Then we can move on to other matters such as corruption, rules, stewarts and the like…. :|

Does anyone know anything about paul nicholls grey american trilogy, won at cheltenham in 2009 and then had a set back and was due to be out last autumn but had another set back and was put away until this campaigne but still havent seen or heard anything of him. Nicholls holds him in high regard and fancied him as a live outsider for the 2010 champ hurdle but he never made it. Has he been out but i missed him or will he be even racing this year??

Gina Bryce and Emma Spencer are unbelievably gorgeous and we need more presenters like them in racing too many drowney boring sods on racing programes, atr should get a few of the sky sports news girls trained up i.e georgie thompson, natalie sawyer, haylie mcqueen. Need to see more of Alex Quinn too shes very cute and can pick a winner too!! Also was it not rumours about an affair between jamie and haylie turner that broke the spencer marriage up, and is mike cats woman not supposed to be an absolute bombshell in her own right, not sure but heard it somewhere.
We need more quality racing and more quality broadcasting. Racing for change should try make racing a little more sexy, take a leaf out of greyhound racing and darts just make it more classy to keep the old, backward ,snooty, p.c, traditionalists and easily offended quite. After all its all about getting the younger generations interested in racing to ensure a bright future and a bit of glamour and sexiness would help without doubt!!

I dont tink Denman will win another gold cup its time to pass the torch from the wiley old veterans to the new kids on the block of jumpings elite, although he showed a gutsy performance at cheltenham this year paddy brennan was all over him on imperial commander. Also I think IC would of won the race regardless of wether kauto’s jumping had of been better and thats why i backed him, also i think he could go very well again this year if hes primed for the race!!
I also think this is kautos last chance at one more gold cup glory although im confident he may well go in again at the king george!! If i owned denman i would aim him at the grand national this year, why not?
Hes getting old now but still retains plents of his old fire and ability and he would surely have two good grand national challenges in him for the next two seasons.
Imagine the legend he would become for owners and trainners should he win a national, i would be fairly confident ruby would go very close on him switching him off before destroying the field in the fianl four furlongs!!
When it comes to the risk i wouldnt be too concerned, hes a quality racehorse and he belongs at the biggest races and the GN is the biggest race in NH. Ruby wouldnt kill the horse or push him if he wasnt right so id take the chance. Even if he didnt go well it would hardly blemish his reputation that much, id say connections would one day regret not taking a chance with him in GN if they decide to not go to aintree. Nicholls reckons hes the govenor at home so lets see what the govenor is made of in the biggest test in racing!!

I think ballydoyles roderick o connor is a lively enough outsider and i may give him a go with small stakes each way, just for the added interest of what is a mouth watering encounter!! dont have a strong enough opinion regarding which horse is better dream ahead or frankel in order to really lump on, both so impressive as is godolphins runner who frankie described as the future!! however no better stable than ballydoyle to spoil the party tho so 10 euro e/w @ 20/1 @ 1/4 odss 1,2 will do for me haha!!

Rule 4s i hate them!! got a double up a couple of months ago, 20 euro win double, both horses won comfartably by several lenghts!! backed them at 6/1 and 8/1 respectively however both favourites were taken out before the start and where both quite short in the betting, should of won around 1,300 euro but only got around 450. two 45p rule 4 deductions, head was wrecked   , especially considering when you do a double and the sp is bigger than the price you take you dont get the bigger sp as with a single stake!! stingy bookies!! other disapointment that does my head in is stupid jockies who give horses to much to do, keep them far too off the pace and out the back during the race only for the horse to pass the field in the final furlong but not win although they would of won had the line been a further inch away!! happens every day, best horses getting beat by dumb jockies and hold up tactics!!

dunguib was the biggest dissapointment of the season, many’s the man on this side of the water lost his mortgage payment for march this year thanks to him haha!! the hype was unbelievable, punters should of got a clue when paddy power offered money back on all runners if he won the supreme novices that he wasnt quite a banker!! that said his jockey did him no favours on the day but his jumping lets him down and bar significant improvement in that part of his game i think he will fault when they rocket for home in the race next year 2 or 3 out!! i was at punchestown for the irish champion hurdle this year and he was very uninspiring that day, no match for huricane fly and never looked a real danger!! that said he has the speed and ability but needs to improve, dont see him winning but realistic claims for 2nd or 3rd in my opinion!!

I agree he is a future gold cup winner and jumping is his game but i still think he should have a go at the champion hurdle, hes recieving weight from donald mccains other contender overturn and the trainer feels peddlers cross is the better horse. It would be great to see a true champion!! winning a champion hurdle this year, then the gold cup next year and the year after that following up with the aintree grand national in 2014 to finally bring the national home to its most famous stable!! haha heres to dreaming!! should get good odds on that though!!

Timeform are complete idiots!! i would love to see their win stats as they have cost me dearly a number of times by either backing their selection or been put off my own!! i know its my own fault for being swayed but these guys are supposed to be experts but they often appear clueless and their look for improvement rational for their star rating does not appear to work to well. I am certain that far more of their two star rated horses win than their five star!! So i wouldnt mind what they think about dream ahead or frankel. Personally i think its very difficult to gauge the better horse until after the weekend but we must remeber not all classy 2yos hold there form to be classic winning 3yos so even the winner may not be the best horse next year. Remember st. Nich abbey last year, what a complete flop!! Anyone think clive brittain is right to be so confident in zaidan?? does he really have a chance!!

No dont know it all infact probably know very little as there is no such thing as a true racing expert its a game of opinions!! Horse make liars out of people every day, hence turned over jollies and 100/1 winners!! Well thats my opinion anyway   However i think donald mccain is a future champ trainer and he certainly knows his stuff. If hes interviewed on get on for example on atr and his horse if fav. and he feels it doesnt merrit that he will say, hes honest all the time about his horses!! therefor when he says that peddlers cross is the best hes ever handled and that his speed even on the flat when working at home is frightening i would tend to believe this horse is special!! Check out the atr website for the article!! furthermore i only joined this forum a few days ago so couldnt put him up months ago!! im just sharing opinion not quashing others views be they wrong or not   Just kidding!!

In relation to the champion hurdle it is quite difficult to pick a horse to steal the crown away from McCoy and Binocular however i feel i know the right man for the job in Donald McCain. I think peddlers cross has a serious chance, he handles cheltenham and looks very classy. I will be snapping up the 14/1 and would advise others to get on. I had around 8 winners and the same again placed at this years festival, a very profitable week for myself. Aintree was also good having backed peddlers cross in his hurdle race and McCoy ante post at 25/1 so i may know what i am talking about   Bring on the NH season and lets get racing properly!! :D
