I would take Steve Mellish’s rant as a punter talking though his wallet then ex jockeys and so called experts who,s main aim is to suck up to Horses connections.
99 times out of 100 Lashes would beat Halfway, all form and ratings back this up, the majority of us saw this and backed accordingly.
So yes we are like Steve talking with Burnt Fingers and its hard to find any excuse for the jockey in this case.

why if nothing was wrong why were the people invoved so against talking to the program makers.

Small little thing called "legal advice". Any brief worth his salt would have told anyone connected to the ongoing enquiries not to talk to the press.

understandable if you have something to hide

Duke of Marmalade was a worthy winner, but did notice 7f from home Hughes imo could have kept him inside but allowed Murtagh to pull out a tad easily.
If i was hughes i would of tried tactically to keep him there and make it as difficult as possible.
Maybe Youmzain could not at that stage match the pace needed to do this
but it would have been interesting.
Saying all that Murtagh showed what a world class jockey he is.

I heartily recommend the International Jumps Weekend at Auteuil in November.

There’s a bundle of Graded races, entrance is buttons, viewing is great, there are no queues at the bars, and all of Paris is your playground when you’re away from the track.

Me and Mrs Grass will be attending again this year.

does sound good and will looked into it.
anyone been to the Perth meeting

Henry must now, at this time be rated as a very high class 3yo miler the best in his age group, with the potential to become a great.
You must enjoy horses like him and hope he goes on to become a legend as this is what its all about.
would he beat haradsun or ramonti? maybe
on distance i feel a mile is max with 7f an alternative.
