I am dissapointed by the level of thought thats going into these posts. Some of you should really stick to the horses.
The simple fact is that the only way to react to this is to over react. By the time you wait for the situation to escalate, its already too late. This might all blow over in a couple of weeks (probably not) and even if it does, this is still the right action to take at this time.

Samcro. I dont know if there was something wrong with him last day or whether he is just soft but one would be poor from backing him. Id like 6/1 before Id consider it.I think one of the Mullins outsiders could run well at each way. Is that Baupaume or Melon?

Owning Cafes or airlines is going to be tough now.
Is it scaremongering, yes. ….it might all blow over in a few months and some will say that. But with the unknown, its better to assume the worse case scenario.

…If I’m right about pace in the race 20/1+ looks worth a small wager on Sceau Royal. Travels with ease through races and might look as though he’s a real threat at some stage. A pre-race bet to lay in running for profit?
He can be a bit of mule on that ground though. If it drys up sufficiently, who knows.

Defi is very very solid and can win. I do think his rating is inflated though. Un de Sceaux is 12 and performed well below song last day if the prsence of Marracuja in 3rd is anything to judge by.
Chacun is probably a better horse IMO. Dynamite Dollars is the one who should be backed at the odds. He achieved some very good things at 5 and you know how these animals can improve from then.

The downside of losing the Sheiks support is that it will never affect him as much as it might, the industry, stable staff etc. Those people have kids to feeds and its easier to take a moral stand against somebody when you have nothing to lose.I think the primary stand here should come from the UK Government and should be done through diplomacy.

I see your point on the Idling. Ive looked at it a few times and Im thinking maybe he barely stays the distance. Im basing this purely on how he runs in other races though.
Overall, I took him on last year and then realised on the day that the opposition had a lot of question marks about them. He really did improve last year and its a lot to ask for more this year.
It makes for interesting betting though. He will I assume carry the housewives money which means he will go off shorter than serious gamblers would look at?
