So if O’Brien had only saddled 2 the win would have been more meritorius. That’s a load of crap.
No, it’s not crap. If he had anything of note, he would have only bothered to have a couple in the race. He had no choice to enter the whole string in it if he wanted to ‘fluke’ it.

LOL
Same thoughts as me HeHeHe
Like I said, a very ordinary field. Authorized absolutely put them to the sword. A bunch of platers
Obviously the winner was far too good for them. I wanna see the winner do the same to good horses now, before I begin giving plaudits.
I’m happy for Frankie though. That put his ghost to bed for sure :)
Salford Mill for me, as a speculative outsider
I would take Authorized on, but I wouldn’t know which one to take it on with.
I can honestly say that I am totally unexcited about this year’s race. A very ordinary field.
I think there is a big difference between the odd indiscretion displayed by most trainers, and sticking two fingers up at the authorities on a weekly basis.
I won’t take sides, but I hate it whenever I feel I didn’t get a fair shake of the dice.
It happens too often, whether it is when a horse gets it’s SP odds shaved between the flags or the horse never fairly competed. The same goes for when a horse finds two stone on it’s last five outings. All such incidences smells bad to me.
Curley may be the flag bearer for the ‘it’s bent’ brigade, but he’ not the only one. Let’s remember that. And it smells all the more bad when it is predicted in the market before the race.
That made my day. I have not a bad word to say against the man. I was cheering Light Shift on and I never even had a bet on the race. Great stuff :)
He’s seen more bad luck in the last few years than most will ever see.
It was nice to see one of his good ones do the business.

and how does one get from the train to the course? An HRA run shuttle service would be a good idea don’t you think? :)
If you are going to be spending loads of dosh on course, it wouldn’t cost a lot to put on a shuttle for 40 or so people. A lot better than 40 or so taxis turning up at the course.

If you are correct then Hot Weld also has an outstanding chance as Scottish National Winners dont have a good record in this race and you have to go back to the 60`s and 70`s to find a double winner.
Will G. Lee front run though?
Hot Weld
Small win bet then.
When I figure out how I gave you that winner, i’ll let you know LOL
Well done if you did back it SS :)
I was more interested in the classic trial today. The Betfred looked distinctly ordinary, in fact quite mundane.

Jack High is overpriced for me at 32 on BF, has done little wrong to merit the outsider tag. Didn’t have a hard race at Aintree either.
My Will is 19 on BF, which is also superb value given his last run.
I think Alderburn has the best chance of the 2 favs. At quick glance I spotted 3 horses he beat in his last win that have won since (Alexanderthegreat, The Bandit & Dunbrody Miller).

Will Great leighs even be open in time for 2010? ;)
I wonder sometimes
The only good reason I can see for a 5pm start is to increase betting revenue. The low sun question mark is a paticular concern. Can you imagine the carnage if a low sun became an issue?
Thank you for the welcome seabird :)
That is real sad news. Whilst Ladalko was not the best jumper of a fence, he had class when he got them right.
It is a pity that my first post is to commiserate with connections of this lovely looking animal :(
