Therefore Beginners’ Chases are more like Maidens on the flat whereas trainers try not to win a horses’ first chase in April so that it gives them another year as a Novice.

Would that not be against the rules?

Slow ground in the 2000 guineas? I was there that day, the gound was lightning fast, that’s what stopped SP. I think someone is getting mixed up with the 1000 guineas next day, after it peed with rain over night. GW murdered them (and me) on that day, but there are still people out there who say he didn’t accelerate but I was standing at the 2 furlong pole and he bloody did!
I thought they had moved the straight course over by about 100 yds. This could make a lot of difference to any form reckoning. I think we have all got to start again at Ascot

Well, he won that one easy enough and this prat still backed against him! I think on his day, nothing will beat him over a mile.
Nice one, Mickey Jo!

Lots of jockeys would have given up once OB went past. Fallon didn’t, and I’ve seen him do this time and time again. The sooner he’s back, the better.
It rather annoys me how Nicholls sells Azertyuiop sort when he compares Kauto Star to him. Kauto Star isn’t anywhere near Azertyuiop’s league (yet! possibly).

Agree with that DJ but perhaps we’ll see better this year?

Incidentally for those who don’t know azertyuiop is the top line of a French typewriter keyboard (ours being qwertyuiop). It’s probably been largely superseded by now though.

    Hello Shrew,
This is something that can never be stressed enough. NEVER pay for tips or information. You are better off following a newspaper tipster, if you don’t have the time or inclination to study form yourself. If you keep records of wins and losses you may find a pattern develops.
If we are honest, most of us have been caught at some stage or other, so don’t let it upset you, put it down to experience!
Now, where have I seen a forum just like that?

One of the Bookies gave me a free subscription to Inside Edge last year. I didn’t bother to pay for it this year. It had reasonable articles and analyisis about the big races but it seemed to be mostly about Poker.

I just hope they keep this monster in training; he’d slaughter everything over a mile, as a four year old.

I only got on line relatively recently, but on the rare occasion I do visit the Betfair forum I find it impossible to find anything of interest. I would certainly agree that it is split into far too many categories, you don’t know where to start.

Unfortunately it appears to me that "Islam" wants to take over and make us all kowtow to their way of life. I believe they should either integrate or p*** off
