I’m not sure why you had to bring immigrants into the discussion but there are lots of them working in the MacMillan Centre, maybe even some in the Lab that processed my blood test?

As regards the price of beer, £6.10 in London is certainly not outrageous, very close to £5 a pint here in sleepy North Herts. There are cheaper places obviously, even one slightly further away from the hospital at £5,15 for Doombar but it is a bit noisier. I did manage on a previous visit to find a Wetherspoons but it was a bit further than I like to walk now.

Consultation went well but the present treatment is not working as well as it did. They have asked me to think about a trial of another drug and are going to explain more in an email.

Yesterday I had 3 hours to wait between a blood test and appointment with consultant at UCLH. Spent the time in a pub round the corner, 6.10 for a pint of Sharps Sea Fury. That is not outrageous nowadays considering the location.
