Bittersweet story.
Thanks for sharing it.Shirley Crabtree – Easy, Easy, Easy…and so on

That pantomime killed UK wrestling.
The kids and numpties were only interested in seeing Daddy squash his baddy opponent and the diehard fans checked out. When Daddy inadvertently killed Mal Kirk it was game over and the U.K. scene has been a backwater ever since.Does the team think that ITV will produce the programme themselves or contract it out to an independent company such as IMG/Highflyer/Sunset & Vine?
I realise that ITV will have a big say in the personnel and style of the broadcast if one of the previous C4 companies were used then we should have a good idea of the presenting team?Hi all
Just want to give my story of why I rarely post here these days.
It’s mainly due to the fact that I changed jobs a while ago and rarely watch racing “live” on course or on TV and usually see it a couple of days after the event and to come on here would spoil the results of most of them big races for me.Good luck for the forum to do an Irving and rise from looking like a dead ‘un to showing the opposition a clean pair of heels.
Persepolis…finished 4th in Golden Fleece’s Derby
Think he had the (FR) suffix after his name so the name must have been up for grabs.
Very sad about this one.
Thought he was booked to win a big race one day with better luck but not to be.
Horrible.
Sympathies to all concerned.Very sorry to hear this.
Nearly won for me at 100/1 in a race at Aintree a couple of years ago.RIP old boy.
Then followed his Ebor romp under 8-0, including a 7lb penalty. Ridden by Carson as Taylor couldn’t do the weight, he went off 11/4 fav and won by eight lengths from Alverton, Shangamuzo and Move Off
Was only thinking the other day of Move Off as the "Tan, Red Sleeves" of the Barker family made an appearance at the Ebor Meeting this year and brought back some memories.
Nice horse that won a few big handicaps in the mid-70’s.
Hope you were in the "related" camp as the current jockey William is Willie’s grandson.
Totally ruined the day.
The race will be remembered for his death rather than Natahaniel’s excellent performance.Sympathies to all concerned with him.
Terrible news.
Such a promising young horse.
Seems that a "Saturday" horse is getting killed on the course with horrible frequency at the moment, doesn’t it?
I know that it can happen to any horse at any time and they’re all very sad but still…
Eric was a real heroic gee and will be sadly missed by many.
One of my favourites of that era.
Think he had a problem with painful lumps on his back that meant that he needed a specially padded saddle fitted when he raced.
Mrs PPG never forgave his stablemate Belmez for touching him off in the King George and costing her a fair few quid.
Glad he got to enjoy a long retirement at stud.
Sad to hear that, lovely big horse that I backed at Aintree a couple of times.
Such an up and down season for the Tizzards.
Great shame for them and Kilmurry.
Very sad
