Between Yeats and Zarkava for me, and I’ve gone for sentiment – Yeats for his six years of giving great thrills and pleasure to us.
Lough Derg e/w
Kauto Star win
My Petra win
Numide – win
Blythe Knight – win
Got mine yesterday too. Thanks, cormack, for the prompt posting. I shall really enjoy using it.
Paco Boy could be exciting next year.
Virtual, if he continues to improve, will be interesting.
Dermot Weld still has a lot of faith in Famous Name, but he might be aimed at 10f races.
Tamayuz has been retired, and I doubt we’ll see Creachadoir again. If Ibn Khaldun makes it back, I somehow doubt he’ll regain G1 winning form.
What about the fillies – will Halfway To Heaven and Nahoodh go to the paddocks? I think Natagora stays in training.

Sometimes we ecpect too much from AOB and co. They just had another disaster down under and simply the horses wern’t good enough.
Fist, I agree Ballydoyle had a disaster, a fearful one! But, I can’t believe you really believe that Viewed and Bauer are better horses than Septimus!
O’Brien has admitted that he has a lot to learn about Australian racing and winning this race in particular. Perhaps he will reconsider the timing of the travel and the need for an Australian prep. I hope he learns from this horrendous mistake. I hope also that his three horses are not shattered by the experience.
Perhaps next time O’Brien will use Australian jockeys, let them get to know their horses in a prep or at least in work riding, and let them race ride instead of giving them too many instructions!
Mobaasher – win
Monkerhostin – win
Yes, it’s a shame about All the Good. Without him and Efficient, two of the leading fancies are gone.
I’d like to see Septimus win because I think he’s the best horse, but at the odds I think Nom de Jeu is the best bet.
David, thanks for all your time in providing some extra added interest to the flat season. It’s been fun – especially in placing a few bets that I never (in real life and money) have had the nerve to do!

Stunning. New Approach finally proved how good he is.
I am so sorry (along with everyone else) that we will never see a New Approach/Zarkava showdown.
Am I alone in thinking that the mighty filly would not have beaten NA today?
Oops, just got home – looks like Glass Harm. isn’t running – please cancel Dewhurst bet.
Glass Harmonium – e/w
Hebridean – e/w
Much as I respect Curlin, and much as I would like to see Henry blitz this, I’m with Halfway to Heaven here – Colonel John the course and surface specialist to win.
Casino Drive is obviously a very talented horse, but his win this weekend was not hugely convincing.
