Don’t know about that, there aren’t many 2m4f races on the calendar

Thought Guadalajara was a touch unlucky, nearly falling on the bend into the home straight. She wouldn’t have won but may well have placed. Look out for her over 2m on soft in future

I’ll keep you compant FSL…this is my 10p placepot!

    2.35
Hoh Mike (2nd)
Cav Okay (3rd)

    3.10
Reunite (NB) (5th)
Sindirana (Last)

    3.45
Reefscape (2nd)
Distinction (3rd)

    4.25
Smart Enough (NAP) (4th)
Sir Gerrard (1st)

    4.55
Ivy Creek (6th)
Leningrad (Nowhere City)

    5.30
Uhoomagoo (1st)
Jedburgh (Who cares?!)

Tricky card today (as usual) with the first definitely the most interesting as well as difficult. Have only had two bets (Smart Enough and Reunite) as they are the only value I can find, although Uhoomagoo is 34 on betfair so may spend a shekel there. Good luck today everyone!

Damn you placepot. Hate you Quadpot.

Would have to agree with the general consensus that he should’ve been chucked out. I was amazed that the result stood and if I had backed Court Masterpiece or Peeress i’d be a bit miffed.

That’s the Kiss of death then FSL!

I’m worried about the course for Electrocutionist. If he is held up he only has just over 2f to gather himself in the home straight and mount a challenge, and i’m not sure that’ll be long enough. Looks a lay to me.

For what it’s worth I shall be backing MAJOR GENEROUX in the Coventry for value as much as anything else (anything else has been written on another thread!).

In the Queen Anne there are a few horses who I don’t think will appreciate this stiff mile (AD VALORUM, COURT MASTERPIECE, VORTEX and PROCLAMATION), AKIMBO is probably not good enough and may not like the ground, I doubt that KANDIDATE is up to this class, which leaves us with PEERESS and BELENUS.

Class may see PROCLAMATION through in the end and i’m unconvinced about the overall quality of PEERESS’ form, even if she has won a couple of G1’s. I’d be very sweet on her if it was first time out, as I have a nagging doubt she runs best fresh, but she’s already had quite a tough race in the Lockinge. She’d appreciate a drop of rain as well.

Purely on the grounds of value I quite fancy the Godolphin second string BELENUS, who although is principally being deployed as a pacemaker, was talked about in the same breath as Dubawi earlier in his career, has reportedly been working well with some good horses, should have no problem with the trip or the ground and I fancy him to cling on for a place at a huge price provided McEvoy doesn’t steam off at a million miles an hour. Think i’ve just talked myself in to an each way bet!

Would have to agree with that Trackside.

Look like you were half-right DJ. Iceman was overbet but the opposite was true of Librettist. Over 5 on betfair was a ridiculous price but thanks all the same!

Lets hope his legs stay sound now (incidentally he’s entered in the Sussex).

I’ve been waiting 599 days for this.

Librettist has had a bit of leg trouble which kept him off the track last season. Before that, I thought he was a G1 winner in the making on decent ground and I shall be having a few shekels on him. If anyone wants to lay me a bit of 3/1 i’ll more than happily take it!

Don’t think so mate. They have still kept a few of them in training as 4yo’s the most lightly raced of which is Descartes (1 run – 1 win)

Afrashad (still can’t forget his Lingfield win…)
Discreet Cat
Emirates Sevens
Etesaal
Real Quality
Rondo
Safsoof (runs friday)
Testimony
Thought Leader

….plus probably some others I don’t know about

According to Timeform, Shawanda sustained a hairline fracture of her off hind in the Arc last year. However she has been in work with Godolphin since so I would imagine the injury is ok now.

Charlie Dimmock would be ok for a couple of years but after a while the effect of her not ever wearing a bra would kick in.

Still, at least her knees would be kept warm.

I would probably take 4 out of the 5 members of Girls Aloud but which one to leave behind? It’s a toss up between the ginger one (for being ginger and possibly not liking the sun) or Cheryl Tweedy (for her connection to the dispicable Ashley Cole).

They could only come if they all promise not to sing.

Bazroy’s trainer has said that he is a fast ground horse, something he is unlikely to come across tonight
