Thanks for putting these up. Always an interesting read.
Back in the day the Sporting Life used to put the bigger bets up in the results section but don’t see them in the Racing post any more.
Already on Notachance but added Nestor Park at 9/1
Fifty Ball 33/1 ew 6 places
Some strange results lately and huge odds. This one wouldn’t surprise me.
Wasn’t totally impressed with Joyeux Machin’s hurdling last time but after the last kicked away to win nicely. Second to Facile Vega beaten 6 lengths in a bumper could be a bet to nothing eachway at 5/1…
Nina the Terrier will appreciate going up in distance and is my each way selection at 10/1
Beacon Edge was a better hurdler than most of these. Hoping today he proves himself over fences.
I’ll take 12/1 ew
Can’t resist a small bet on Call Me Lord 25/1 ew
A bigger bet on Drop the Anchor who should be suited by conditions. 9/1 ew
I’ll go for Thyme White. Handicapped to beat Amarillo Sky, this improving horse will have the assistance of Bryony Frost.
12/1 ew 6 places with Paddypower
LAWS OF INDICES @ 33/1. Only 2.75 lengths behind Poetic Flare conceding 3lb over 7f. Stiff 6 furlongs could be ideal.
Also FIVETHOUSANDTOONE @ 16/1 for me. First time out but trainer in great form. Finished just under 5 lengths behind St. Marks Basilica in Dewhurst (Soft going) and may be better down at 6 furlongs.
Probably mad taking on the front two but with the ground as it is, you never know.
Good luck all.
My father follows Richard Fahey religiously. The number of times he comes up with the goods.. cross the card accumulators etc…. very often puts my form study to shame.
Look at him in the first at Ascot today. Very few runners at the main meeting but by god they need looking at. 14/1 Perfect Power… Needless to say, I ignored it…
SANDRINE 16/1 ew for me.
Stable won Coventry on Tuesday with Berkshire Shadow and she had Oscula back in third on winning debut.
Stiff track will suit and any rain will probably help as this one will need further in time.
Good luck all.
I also think Double Shuffle is over-priced at 25/1
His form figures after 50+ days break are 35232227F2. Looks worthy of an each way bet.I’m also backing Relentless Dreamer at 16/1. Should strip fitter for recent run where he stayed on well. Only has 10 stone which will come in handy if it turns up soft.
Am going to forgive Doing Fine for the poor latest run. It was his first run of the season after all and maybe the visor will help. Based on previous form he’s well handicapped with a few of these and has conditions to suit. Took 20/1.
Agree with you Peter. I think Black Corton has got a lot in his favour. Am on at 12/1 e/w. Would be a highlight for me if Bryony could win it. Good luck to her.
First Flow appeals to me. Perhaps he needs to improve but he’s not far behind Summerville boy and Kalashnikov on lines through Midnight Shadow and Mont des Avaloirs and he is well suited to soft ground. I’ve taken 12/1.
William H Bonney for me.
Trainer has kept it fresh for this.
Arguably well handicapped.
33/1 is value.I’m more interested in Henderson’s Nadiya de la vega. Third last year and nearly a stone better off with Walkon who was second. She likes Cheltenham and runs extremely well fresh. I think shes won on her seasonal debut or after a long break, three times now…
She looks nicely handicapped on 10-3 if Henderson keeps the topweight Finians rainbow in. Hopefully she gets a run. I’m in eachway at 20/1+
