Quite a lot of entries this year, with a lot of unexposed winners. Hermes Allen is the favourte, but at evens quite short. I liked Attaca. Partly because of the Altior-colours, but mostly because of his impressive win at Cheltenham. Unfortunately he is a non-runner.
I went for Passing Well. He showed decent form in Ireland in his bumper and won nicely against a decent Henderson horse on his hurdles debut at Uttoxer. I think he is a big price.
Passing Well 28/1 EW
December 30, 2022 at 22:30 #1628971I was at Stratford when Hermes Allen won half the track and he’s a good prospect.
But has everyone got amensia?
The Irish win EVERYTHING over here over Jumps nowadays and Joyeux Machin deserves to be joint favourite at the very least.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"December 31, 2022 at 00:44 #1629000Wasn’t totally impressed with Joyeux Machin’s hurdling last time but after the last kicked away to win nicely. Second to Facile Vega beaten 6 lengths in a bumper could be a bet to nothing eachway at 5/1…
December 31, 2022 at 12:25 #1629046You Wear It Well for me, at the bottom of the weights. Likes it soft; has Hermes Allen won on really soft ground?
Upset time.
December 31, 2022 at 13:14 #1629063I thought the 2 at the top market might want nice ground. So Crambo ew 4 places, Vicki Vale ew 4 places
December 31, 2022 at 13:38 #1629068Joyeaux machin for me
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
December 31, 2022 at 13:45 #1629071Joyeux Machin 4-1, and Passing Well 28-1 ew for me
December 31, 2022 at 15:02 #1629103Have £8 in my account so I’ve put a massive £2 on the fav hoping to get it up to a tenner so I can do the minimum withdrawl lol.
Not overly confident because of the ground though.
December 31, 2022 at 15:08 #1629105To not come off the bridle in that ground is impressive , he,s got some engine
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
December 31, 2022 at 15:22 #1629107Impressive!
December 31, 2022 at 15:25 #1629109Very impressive indeed given the way he powered up the Cheltenham hill last time out on better ground
December 31, 2022 at 15:32 #1629111Proper horse, that Hermes Allen. Sounds like a dream one for a trainer – does nowt at home, laid back, saves his energy for the track. He looks like the festival razzmatazz won’t bother hime either. Whatever the Irish come up with in the Ballymore, it’ll have to be one of their decade’s best to beat him.
December 31, 2022 at 15:35 #1629113cannon fodder to Gaelic Warrior..

Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
December 31, 2022 at 15:40 #1629118Hope he,s been practicing his bumping …
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
December 31, 2022 at 15:48 #1629120I hate myself for it but I imagine I’ll end up backing him for the Ballymore.
5’s still seems very fair to me.
The coach trip I go on each year always goes on the Wednesday and I fancy a good bet on the each way double of Hermes Allen and Queens Gamble in the bumper to top and tail the card.
December 31, 2022 at 17:50 #1629135I’d say he’s a terrible price for the ballymore myself
2nd was rated 125
Bravemansgame and stage star won the race by further against higher rated opposition and weren’t good enough to win at Cheltenham
Be interesting to see some of the Irish contenders in the lawlors of naas next weekend
December 31, 2022 at 18:02 #1629137It’s a fair point but I reckon he’ll be even better on decent ground …. KG winner 2024
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
