Agree with you Peter. I think Black Corton has got a lot in his favour. Am on at 12/1 e/w. Would be a highlight for me if Bryony could win it. Good luck to her.
March 12, 2018 at 00:54 #1345795This is the first time I’ve been on this thread in weeks.
Wtf am I reading?!? Elegant Escape – Legend in Waiting?
I mean.. he has to be on a windup surely?
Fwiw I’m on Monalee NRNB who will surely go JLT and Black Corton at 20/1 each way.
Can’t see Elegant Escape winning and I don’t fancy the favourite. The latter was impressive in the Pertempts last year though in all fairness.
March 12, 2018 at 07:47 #1345811No he is not on a wind up.
My utmost apologies for not waiting til the entire media get behind this horse and start talking about him as being a legend in waiting and then jumping on the bandwagon.
Some lead some follow. I am not in the sheep category. This is a superstar in waiting -time will prove this to be correct.
Personally I think 80% of this forum is on a wind up as every single year most the members somehow managed to get on the race favourites at the highest antepost price (though they weren’t able to tell us they were backing said horse when the price was still available).
Now I am on the legend EE at 33/1 the difference being 33/1 was still available when I made the claim.
Now that’s entertainment.On a wind up??
Sit back and relax
The dawning of the Elegant Era is almost upon us.Thank god I have my own personality and don’t just try to fit in to please the crowd.
Not long now then all of your eyes will be opened
March 12, 2018 at 08:15 #134581233/1 wasnt available when you first posted, it was 16/1 and 20/1 with hills as they offer the shady non runner insurance and he was touted for the 4 miler

Elegant Escape @ 33/1 36.75/1 RSA Chase – 14th Mar 2018 – Outright
Open
Stake: £50.00
To return: £1887.75William hill allowed me not only £50 at 33/1 they were so kind they even gave me a bet boost and made it 36.75/1
They then referred my next £50 bet to a trader who allowed me a max of £10.91 more on it.
William hill have had two shops targeted by me in cash on this horse at 33/1.
I am also on this horse on betfair exchange at between 28.0 and 36.0
I will win just shy of £10,000.00 when the legend passes the post in first.
Antepost betting is not my thing. This horse is special though and an exception was made.
I don’t have much of an opinion on any other race. I have been living and breathing the RSA since October when this horse made his chase debut.
Cheltenham festival 2018 is about one horse and one horse only. The birth of a superstar is almost upon us.
This is the greatest chaser of all time and I am willing to back up everything I say.
Victory awaits those who trust in the great
There is no escape from the elegant oneMarch 12, 2018 at 08:55 #1345817Would you be willing to never post again if EE doesn’t win the RSA?
March 12, 2018 at 09:13 #1345818Im not saying you didnt get 33/1, im saying it wasnt available last week when all this started, unless the price crashed after you put your £10 on it. Your point was how do people always manage to get the big price then post when its gone, thats what you did is it not?
March 12, 2018 at 09:17 #1345820I will never post again after he has won.
All talking is pre race. I won’t say I told you so. I won’t gloat.
Everything that I say pre race I am willing to back up on the racecourse.WHEN HE HAS WON
I AM DONEMarch 12, 2018 at 09:23 #1345821I hope your bets win for you Potato, as I don’t have a penny on the race. I just can’t see the enthusiasm like yourself for EE. PP is surely going to take this on soft ground, and he’s to short.
Flicking through the RP site last night, I did spit my tea out though teabaghead. Better than Kauto & Arkle
March 12, 2018 at 09:24 #1345822All got a reason to want EE now lads
March 12, 2018 at 09:46 #1345828That ground is a definite worry for monalee now, heavy, soft in places, looks nailed on to swerve this now.
March 12, 2018 at 09:57 #1345832If Monalee goes to the rsa then he gets beat. If he goes to the JLT then he gets beat.
This horse is seriously overhyped.
It’s irrrlevant to me if he runs here or not as he isn’t a horse that would be involved in the finish.
March 12, 2018 at 10:10 #1345836Monalee confirmed for this, or declared atleast
March 12, 2018 at 10:17 #1345842Disagree potato, JLT perfect for him. Madness.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!March 12, 2018 at 10:19 #1345843I agree that the JLT is a much more suitable race for the horse irrelevant of the ground but I still think the horse is overhyped and will come up short whichever race he runs in.
10 runners line up though I assume Monalee could still go JLT last minute, or has Bromhead confirmed he definitely runs here?
March 12, 2018 at 10:21 #1345844Cannot switch now, it’s definite for Monalee. I think the owners have had a bet in the RSA and are being stubborn because the JLT was clearly the more suitable and winnable race for the horse. Genuinely hope he gets smashed now in the RSA.
March 12, 2018 at 10:22 #1345845Ok I have had it confirmed that he cannot switch.
Monalee runs in the RSA and that’s final.
